Do I realize this is a disgrace to the world of Artemis Fowl? Yes, I do. But, thankfully, I don't really care. I know this is clichéd and has been done so many times that if it was ever funny, it's not anymore.

I'm sorry it's so short…

Disclaimer: Eoin Colfer owns Arty and Butler…but if he ever wants to auction them off, I'll be the first bidder, and the winning bidder.

IMPORTANT! The POV might be confusing, but it's Artemis's POV, and the time line is directly after the Fowl Star sank.

In shock.

That was the feeling. He was numb, numb with loss, feeling as if the world before him was sinking into a vast abyss woven from despair.

He almost wanted to go to his mother, and cry on her shoulder. But he knew he couldn't. it was so juvenile, and he was a Fowl.

Fowls never cried, after all, emotion was weakness.

He walked over to Butler, almost tripping over his own feet in the process, although his stumble did not register in his mind.

"Artemis, are you alright?" he heard Butler say to him.

Snapping out of his trance-like state, he answered.

"Yes Butler, I am quite alright, I simply needed some time to gather myself." He answered Butler, his voice cool and calm, but inside he was quaking.

He spoke again "Butler, keep track of the news, just incase there is anything about the Fowl Star."

"Master Artemis, if there is anything I can do to make you feel better, please, let me do so." Butler commented quietly from the shadows where he was lurking.

"No, Butler I will be quite alright." He murmured, turning his head away so that his manservant wouldn't see the single tear rolling down his cheek.

His father was alive and he would stop at nothing to get him back.

I really don't got nothing to say…just please read and review, and if you do NO FLAMES! I don't want to waste my time reading messages people have sent me telling my all the things I've done wrong… I know there's a lot, but still.

So, go ahead, push that nice green button, it looks pretty lonely…
