Ryu could feel the sweat fall down his face and his pulse quicken. This frighted him, more so that the Nue, or Balio and sunder.... or even Myria...No, thsi was much much worse.

The sweet, innocent blue eyed girl resembled her mother so much, except her hair was sea blue rather than golden blond. but it wasn't the child that scared him to the brink of despair...

It was the question she'd asked him just now.

"C...could you repeat that, Nira?'

She straightened herself in her seat, and looked back up at her father.

"Where do babies come from, daddy?' she repeated. Her voice full of curiosity, and wonder, she made the question sound innocent enough.

Now, if Ryyan had asked, it wouldn't have bothered him so much, He was of age, and a boy...but his ten-year-old daughter...

"Wh...why not ask your mother...?" he asked back with a stutter he hadn't had since he was a child. She crossed her arms and looked at her father with contempt.

"She's busy." she answered. Ryu didn't know what to do. He could lie, say it was a stork, or some deity, but would she believe it?

"A stork rewards a couple's love with a baby." he lied. She shook her head in disbelief. 'Damn...'

"A stork couldn't carry a baby. they is heavy." she pointed at him. "I want the truth..."

Ryu couldn't do it. he felt sick, scared, almost like he was dyeing.

"B..babies..c...come f...from...mo...mommy...uterus..." His face caught fire when he said uterus. There was no way he needed to say anymore was there. She was ten for Myria's sake!

"Oh...okay daddy! that's all i need to know!" she said and hopped of the seat she was in. Ryu slumped into it, and took a deep breath.

"That girl's gonna kil me someday..."

She turned a corner where a certain fuzzy woren sat laughing with his face in his palm. She put a hand on her hip, and stuck her free hand out.

"Okay uncle Rei, pay up, I did it."

With a loud breath and more laughing, he handed the young princess 500 Zenny.

"So...worth it. hahahaha." he laughed as he waked away.
