Apes, Lizards, and Cats Oh My!

The core of the west coast resistance lived and or operated out of the historic Biltmore hotel. The visitors, a lizard-like race known for their galactic conquest

and expansion, had been in a 25-year war with the people of Earth. Recently with the help of another race the Zedti an insect-like species, the visitors lost.

The Zedti responded to an SOS call the resistance had put out 12 years prior. They too had almost been eradicated by the Visitors. The zedti and the visitors

wore replicated human skins. Their alien forms too shocking for most humans to handle.

There is one other race that managed to make its way to the Earth. A felid race. A lone, very young pregnant female Ra'kati, found herself on a visitor

mother ship bound for earth. Good fortune was hers as the fifth column found her first. They hid, cared for and taught her the human language as best they

could. All she knew is that she was to meet up with her soul bound blood song mate at their meeting point and next thing she knew she was in a box on the

mother ship. Barbara one of the main leaders of the fifth column, along with her partner Martin, collaborated with the local LA resistance to take the young

Ra'kati female in and keep her safe until they could get her home.

Two kits were born on Dec 24, 1985, both female. One was made of fire, and action with signature red hair, and her sister the firstborn, was made with

intelligence and quiet with silver fur and teal eyes. The mother named the kits N'wll'e or 'Noelle" and Sy'dai'ae' or Sydney. The resistance grew fond of the

tiny mother and her two kits as they were called. Neither kit lacked for aunts uncles or cousins. Sydney, in particular, was found of Uncle E, Elias, while Noelle

appreciated Julie and Robin more. One day the resistance headquarters was raided. The tiny mother was killed trying to hide her kits. One kit, the sweet silver

furred one with teal eyes, cried painfully for hours. The fire hair kit of golden fur with stripes and O rings in copper with blazing amber eyes screamed and

raged for days. Hamilton Tyler resistance fighter, in Nam and during the Noriega days, knew that only one thing would satisfy the raging little kits pain. That is

revenge. He trained her hard from the age of 6 onward. The training was unkind, brutal, mean spirited and vicious. It had to be, she had an iron-clad will and

hate to fuel a nuclear rage for eons. Sydney in all ways but genetic became Hamilton Tylers' daughter. Ham along with his other militia gang, taught her super

survival skills, sniper training seemed to be her forte, with her agility, flexibility and uncanny ability to hit her targets 97 percent of the time, she became the

weapon they needed. They became her uncle's cousins aunties grandma's and pa's. Ham and co tracked all the visitors responsible for the raid that day which

took their mother. Sydney took her first visitor life at 7.

Sydney stood 5'3 barely. Her fur lay close to the skin. Her fur a pale gold, her markings on her face light copper stripes from the nose moving vertically to the

forehead. Her face looking very human with a prosthetic nose and contacts. Sydney's nose is long and narrow, with a beige skin colored triangle at the end.

The nostrils lay more horizontal than the human or visitors. Her upper lips are thin and her lower lips full, she had double dimples when she smiled. Her eyes

are wide and liquid amber with a vertical slit for pupils, which open and close with a change in light or emotions. She is sinewy and muscular in the same

frame. Her tail is long, and often kept taped to one of her legs. Her ears are fuzzy, slightly rounded, and very expressive. Her hands are small knuckled claws.

Her knees bent back a little bit right after the knee cap. Her feet wider and longer than visitors or humans. One of Sydney's signature features is her hair. It is

mostly red with streaks of silver and blonde throughout. The texture is soft, yet unruly with curls when wet, and floofy if dried or brushed dry. Harmony

lovingly still refers to the alien resistance member as "her floof".

Sydney took out key players from time to time, human, visitor whoever was planning to bring the human race down. She worked like a well-oiled machine,

her and Ham were a dangerous combination to tangle with. Sydney's twin sister made fast friends with the star child Elizabeth. Robin natural mother to

Elizabeth became a mother to the two kits, as did Willie, Harmony, and Julie. Martin and Ham became father figures for the girls. The girls could not be more

different, Noelle sweet, kind, respectful. Sydney, in your face, foul-mouthed, she would hit bite and scratch first, always.

Martin managed to arrange a ship to Noelle and Sydney's homeworld, Noelle was the only one on that ship. Unfortunately, Sydney was on a mission at that

time, and could not get away without giving away some of her resistance family. Sydney loved Chris and Alice with her heart. Sydney would spend

Christmases with their family in the Mount Shasta area. There was no price for their lives. While Sydney waited to find a good time to leave her position, she

targeted and dropped one of the high commanders' favorite boy. Sydney scuttled through the back way her 11-year-old body flexible enough to get through a

small hole then snuck into the resistance headquarters. The resistance was stunned to find her up the next morning as though nothing had happened. The

high commander, Diana, knew who killed her lover. True to Diana's style of leadership, she went on a rampage looking for her lovers' assassin. The L.A. and

surrounding resistance groups, scattered to avoid Diana's wrath. Minimal lives were lost and yet lives were still lost. Sydney cried for about 3 days, at the loss

she caused, at the loneliness that would happen next, the hiding for weeks if not months underground in attics. She lived in a world that had to hide her, was

in fear for her or of her.

The year is 2009, the visitors seeking to turn Earth into a resource station and wayward point for their ships were denied. The humans with the help of the

growing 5th column the Zedti and a stealthy small force of one Ra'kati recon class ship with 6 talons helped the humans defeat the lizard overlords. At 24

years old, Sydney would still go on clean up missions 6 months after the official victory was called. The Zedti by and large stayed out of the rebuilding

process. Key Zedti did stay to oversee the political reassignment of what was left of the Earths nations. With each nation laying claim to a mother ship, a new

world order or system needed to be in place. Since humans have a bad habit of repeating the worst of their pasts, the Zedti are the best option to oversee

such operations.

A meeting taking place with Martin Barbara, Julie, Harmony. Willie, Robin, and Ham at the Biltmore bar held special excitement for the moms this day.

Harmony wiped away tears as Martin and Barbara shared a holo. It showed a large Ra'kati commander. His fur white with black tiger stripes. His eyes ice

blue, black thin lips that held back large canines. The commander wore his white tiger striped hair shaved on the sides and pulled back into a braid. The

Ra'kati males are bigger, much bigger, bulkier, and taller than the females. Sydney at 5'3 is considered tiny. The language sounds rough with chirps huffs and

growls so often intermixed with fluid strings of unknown articulations. The Ra'kati implanted devices under their skin behind their ears to allow for

interpretation of the human tongue. If a language of the Earth could be equated to the Ra'Kati, it would fall somewhere between ancient Babylonian and the

romantic languages. The humans had been given living neurotransmitters which attach to the auditory processing nerves in the ear to the brain. Human

language is easier than Ra'kati to process.

"Honored humans, who care for the lost star sister, the one who is known as Sydney of the Earth" the big tiger patterned male said with a slight bow. "We

come to take her home to her Atuen,(father), Her time to return to her blood is now." We Ra'kati are in this time at the place resort of Mountain of Shasta."

he spoke. "A talon claw will be at the headquarters Biltmore in one of your Earth days." "Martin of the 5th column will share more information for you" He

bowed and the holo flashed off. "The Ra'kati have a talon crew, of three pilots shadowing Sydney right now," Martin said. "As far as I have been told by the

commander, the Ra'kati only plan to stay as long as it takes to get the lost star sister then leave." "Hmmm" Ham muttered, "good of them to stay around

then." Ham rolled his eyes at the thought of having yet another alien species live among the humans. Hamilton Tyler is not a human elitist, more he is old and

done with alien trouble.

"Where is our magnificent furball?" Martin asked with a smile. "She should be wrapping up a cleanup sweep from Arizona," Ham said. "She got Betty?" Martin

asked. "Yes, and our glorious furball better not mess with her timing again" Ham snapped. They laughed. Hamilton Tyler's prized possession outside of his

weapons, a fully restored 1968 dodge charger, R/T with a 440ci V8 engine.. complete with Kroger rims and Pirelli tires. Black Betty is pure power, she is a

beautiful ride. Only Tyler and Sydney drove his Black Betty. Both parties had a different idea of where Betty's timing should be set. It often ended in yelling,

throwing of tools then Sydney on room restriction. "What do you think Ra'Kati eat?" Harmony said fretting. Martin chimed in to calm a frazzled mom of

Sydney, "Do not worry about that" he said leisurely. "They are simply here to pick up Sydney and return to their home planet." "So that's it?" Julie said "no

good byes,?" She looks at Martin with her sharp blue eyes full of worry. "I doubt that very much, they have made quite a base at, it will take time to pick up

and go," Martin said leaning on the bar. "Besides," Barbara said, "They have to allow for her Earth parents to say goodbye, in the time they need".
