Kevin couldn't get to sleep, he missed Dave as they would hang out in their room and when night came around, they were in bed talking until they fell asleep and the Purple Minion male was missing that which bothered him, because Gru and Dave were out of town for the night meaning Kevin had to go without his pillow talker which he hated but he looked at the clock, seeing it was three in the morning and he didn't feel like sleeping.
There was another thing he could do, grabbing his metallic purple headphones since he loved music since he and Dave would listen to music together but he found what he was looking for on his iPad, Owl City.
He was listening to a song tbat made him think of when he couldn't sleep and wanting Dave there knowing and was understanding but he had a habit of sleep walking sometimes without Dave which bothered Gru plus before leaving, he had warned Lucy of this knowing it was why Dave avoided going out of town with Gru in case this happened.
It didn't soothe Kevin to sleep but the Purple Minion was sitting on his and Dave's bed with his iPad as Skype was on seeing a video chat alert seeing Dave's Skype name making the Purple Minion smile answering it seeing Dave on the screen.
"Ooh somebody can't sleep huh, without me?" Dave said as Kevin nodded.
He told him he was feeling lonely.
"Aww it's just one night Kev, but I understand as I miss you too, since Las Vegas is fun but I miss being around at night since we have fun.
Dad went to do a few things, like get you guys gifts." Dave said.
Kevin sighed as he was just tal,ing to Dave, telling him many things that had came into his mind but were understanding as they heard Gru back around two in the morning wondering what he was doing understanding after seeing Kevin on tbe screen, since the Purple Minion wouldn't sleep without Dave knowing that it was going to be an all nighter as he was getting ready for bed but had bee. Talking to Lucy on Skype.
"Just get some sleep later okay, Dave?" Gru said as the Minion nodded.
"Wow Dad's such a wet blanket sometimes!" he heard Kevin say.
Dave chuckled at this since it was true but was saw Kevin putting on pyjamas and he was talking as well making Dave chuckle because it was cute but they were talking for many hours until tbe sun came up, as Kevin heard Dave yawn understand because they both needed sleep, as Kevin logged out but lying down in the bed, imagining the pillow in his long furry arms was Dave making him smile.
"Night Dave." he said drifting off into dreams.
Lucy then opened the door checking up on the Purple Minion for Gru seeing Kevin asleep with his purple furry arms around a pillow understanding but tucked him in knowing Kevin wouldn't be up all day leaving him be as the family needed her.
Later that morning, both Dave and Gru were back but Dave had one thing on his mind, Kevin going upstairs to his and Kevin's room hearing growl like snores seeing his purple furred goofballs asleep and tucked into bed which was adorable.
"Aw morning I'll see you later, okay?" he said.
"Dave... I missed you." he heard Kevin say in sleep making Dave almost nose bleed but his cheeks went red leaving him be closing the door.
He saw Edith chasing Kyle but he was going to get a snack seeing pancakes knowing every morning, he and Kevin would eat them so he was getting ideas going upstairs with them and coffee, since it helped Kevin after an all nighter.
He saw Kevin sitting up with his fluffy purple hair all dishevelled from sleep, moaning but seeing a smile seeing him there hugging him.
"Hey bud, I really missed you but it's okay.
You were up all night huh?" he said.
"Yep as I missed you plus we do stuff together, plus you keep me safe." he said as he wrapped his purple furred arms around him in a hug.
