Regarding Edward and Tanya:
This is not a story but I'm hoping some people would agree with me. To be honest, in twilight, Tanya is hardly mentioned. She comes by in a passing. I do believe mike plays a bigger role in the twilight series and even Jessica, then Tanya. I have nothing against Tanya honestly. But most times in fan fictions it seems Bella is described inferior compared to Tanya. In stories that doesn't have OOC characters; they make Edward attracted and even in love with Tanya while Bella is described as the ugly duckling that's ignored like a homeless person. Why do people make Tanya a major character? A lot of good authors don't. They stay true to the novel. If all the other couples are exactly how they should be then why do the main characters (Edward and Bella) get separated in that way? Also one thing I don't understand, when you are writing a story that's all human, Edward and Tanya or any of the Cullens are not suppose to be "out of this world stunning". Rosalie could be described model beautiful, that's understandable, since it's said in the story. But the others are suppose to be human beautiful, or simply attractive. If everyone is human, then everyone is supposed to have human flaws. So they are not supposed to be insanely gorgeous but they could be really attractive. Actually Jasper is not described as really that beautiful even in the book. But in most fan fictions, they make even jasper more appealing than Bella. I like reading fan fictions, but sometimes it feels as though the authors make Bella, the HEROINE and one of the MAJOR characters the cheap, "second-banana", poor person that is REALLY self-conscious. More so then in the books. This doesn't add up. BTW, in the books, Bella isn't as rich as the Cullens'but she's not that poor either. She's actually a middle-classed teen, described in the book. I really HATE Edward and Tanya shipping. But that's my opinion. If you think about it, I don't think anyone would agree that Bronze hair looks really appealing with Strawberry Blonde hair than Brunette hair. Again this is not my subtle way of flaming or bashing authors. I'm just trying to point out something I believe most authors forget during writing. There are a lot of good stories with really interesting plots, but it just really sucks when all of a sudden they say Edward is married to Tanya and then Bella comes up 8 chapters later as the poor babysitter. That's UNREALISTIC, to the one hundredth power. So authors please, consider them. One of the reasons Twilight is so hit among young teens is because I believe that teens could easily delve with in the character. But fan fictions with Edward and Tanya together, it's hard to really step in the shoes. Sometimes fan fiction just makes me Hate Edward, so much that I have re read the series so I can appreciate his character again. Honestly, if you were in Bella's shoes, you probably would have become depressed and develop some kind of disease, the way Bella is described in some of the fan fictions. I know it's really long to read. But I really felt like I needed to put this in view of uprising authors. One great story is "Stop, Drop, and Roll" because even though Edward is described beautiful, he still has human flaws like they should be in any all human fan fictions. And Tanya is in the story, but even though she plays a love interest, she's minor character like it should be. I hope what I'm saying is understandable.
