This is my first one-shot so tell me what you think! Enjoy!
I looked through the menu, scanning the items.
I heard someone clear their throat. I looked over the menu at the waitress.
She was pretty in her uniform purple polo and black dress pants. Her firey red hair was in two pig tails, and her eyes were a stunning shade of green. She had on a green necklace and had a purple flower tucked into her hair. She smiled at me.
"What can I get you?" She asked.
"A coke and a steak," I told her and she scribbled down the order. She smiled again before taking my menu and walking back to the kitchen. She came back with my drink before leaving again.
I'd look up from my table occasionally to see her looking at me. I nod and she'd wave back.
She brought me my steak and I chewed on it absently. She'd walk by every now and then and ask how I was doing.
"Anything I can get you?" She'd ask sweetly.
"Nah, I'm good."
She nodded and walked off again. After I ate what I wanted, she came back.
"Want a to-go box?" She asked.
"Yea, sure." I told her. She brought me the box with the check laid on top. I set down a 5 on the table and walked over to the cashier.
I lifted the check off the box to see a phone number scribbled down in femine writing. I looked over at the girl and she smiled, her fangs accenting it. I smiled back and paid before walking out of the store.
I pulled out my phone and programed in the number.
"I should eat here more often," I said to myself as I crawled into my car.
