Cha. 1

June turned in her sheets wildly, a cold sweat all over her body. She shoke like no one had ever seen one tremble. The girls around her quickly woke up and upon realizing it was June who was having the nightmare, they desperately tried to wake her. But it was no use. June was trapped in her own nightmare until reality broke through. But they had no idea how long it would take for that to happen.

June Jones was fourteen years old and had been at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters since she was twelve. Her story was not that complex. The "norm" as most would say, but at the same time, June herself was not normal, even as a mutant. A woman by the name of Orora Munroe had come to her house and told her and her uncle about the school. June later found out that Ms. Munroe was also called by the name of Storm. June's uncle was happy to agree and within a week, June had arrived at Xavier's School for Gifed Youngsters.

June had the extrordinary power of making people forget everything. Forget their past, forget who they are, even where they are. The first time she realized she had her power was when after hugging her two best friends, they forgot everything. They had both been sent to a mental phisilty to help them regain their memories. She would never forget the terrified look on her uncle's face when she had told him that she thought she was the cost for the memory lost.

Nowadays, she had control, but with that control, also came a disadvantage. Every day that she kept her power under control, she would lose a memory starting from the beginning of her birth. But by the time she was eighty, she would have forgotten half of her life. Right now, she couldn't remember anything before her sixth birthday.

The first person she had met and become friends with was a boy named Jimmy. He was about a year older than her and she absolutely loved his power for the fact that it was different from other mutants. His power was that he could take away any mutant's power if they got to close to him. Of course, June didn't mind this because to her, her power was a curse and she was the happiest around him.

By the time she was thirteen and a half, June had given up the fact that she just had about the hugest crush on Jimmy and faced the fact that she loved him. But she would never tell anyone, because there was really no one else to tell or at least, worth telling. She couldn't let him find out.

Hey you guys! It's me again with another story. This time it's an X-Men fanfic. Hope you like it!
