1. Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1:

AN IMPENDING INVASION

SO MY NEXT FANFICTION STORY IS OUT NOW. I HAVE HONESTLY NO IDEA IF THIS SHOULD BE A CROSSOVER OR NOT AS I WILL BE USING A LOT OF THINGS FROM THE STAR WARS AND A BIT OF IRON MAN. SO, YAH.

Flashback… 25 months ago

Riven was working in a restaurant in the middle of Magix. He had managed to find a job and it was decent. Had a good pay and a job he overall liked to have. He was having a decent life and was making good money. That all changed however, when one day, he got a call up.

Riven was going down the thinking on whether or not he did the right thing breaking up with Musa. She had been his girlfriend for a while but he knew that was for the interest of both parties. He decided to ignore it and the feeling that maybe he should go and talk to her. "Are you having trouble Riven?" a voice asked. Riven looked up and saw no one. He then scanned the surroundings and saw a guy looking at him. "I can help you become what you really desire. To be on a battlefield and fight on the front lines" "Who are you?' what do you want with me?" "Nothing much, come, there is much to talk about" The man then brought Riven to his ship, which was a Pelta-class command ship.

"What is this ship?" "This is a Pelta-class command ship. Developed for war" "War?" "You may not know this, but the magic dimension is actually part of the unknown-regions. Which means the outside world do not have much contact with tis part of the universe. So, let me tell you. As we speak, a war is raging on outside of the unknown regions. There are two sides, the Galactic Empire and the New republic. I am Mark, aka the Iron knight. I am the leader of the new Republic. The Empire is led by the completely infamous Lord of Chaos. My Republic has been managing to beat them head on. But I would like to take on an apprentice" "Why did you choose me?" "I have seen your fighting style Riven. It is extremely similar to my fighting style. Can I see your weapon?" "Sure?" "Hmm, it is rather, old tech, compared to the outside Galaxy, where we use laser blasters and rarely have hand to hand combat" "I see. I would like to have the thrill of fighting in a war. I miss those days where I could fight" "Then it is decided. Come, we need to give you an upgrade on your weapons"

They jumped to the main base of operations where Riven saw many troopers. "Wow, there are so many of them. How did you get so many people?" "My army uses Clones. We genetically engineer them. It saves time looking for recruits. They age 5 times faster than a normal human. But when they hit 20 years old, they grow like a normal human" "Wow, that must use a lot of technology" "It indeed uses. The Empire uses droids, which are very low cost and like your tech." They landed on the landing pad where they were greeted by Captain Rex and Commander Cody. "Generals, meet Riven. My new apprentice and first one" "It's a pleasure to meet you sir" "Uh, thanks?" "Come, the commander has ordered that the 2 of us train you up. When your training is complete, hopefully within 12 to 15 months, you will be the leader of the ARC trooper core" "ARC trooper?" "It is the most elite unite the army. Out of the over 2.5 billion troopers, less than 0.01 percent of clones reach this unite. I command it alongside my trusted clones. We are rarely on the front lines as we are like the special operations unite" "I see. I would train to my fullest" "Rex, take Riven to his bunker and show him the training facilities" "Yes sir" "Commander. With all due respect, is it alright to allow a non clone into the ranks? Apart from you, we had no one in the ranks that are not clones" "Relax Cody. I see a lot of myself when I was younger when researching this guy. Plus he could be a useful accent especially in the ARC trooper core. He is a good hand to hand combat person." "Understood"

"So this is where you will be staying" "Ok then" "Come, let me show you where we train, especially in the ARC trooper core" Rex showed him around and Riven was impressed with how they train(It is basically like the training facilities in Kamino). Just then, 4 of the troopers walked up to Rex. "Riven, these are my second in command. This is Fives, Storm, Caleb and Echo. Boys, meet our new general. Riven. He is Mark's apprentice" "It's an honour to meet you sir" "With all due respect sir, but is it a good idea to allow a normal human to join the ranks?" "I trust the commander's decision to allow Riven to join the ranks. But we will train him to the best of our abilities. Understood" "Sir yes sir" "Now, Riven, let's get you started right away" "Understood, Captain"

6 months later…

"I have to admit sir, he is progressing faster than expected. He is already 2 thirds finished with his training" "Well, we have to see. I will test him for myself. Doctor, have you done the surgery to enhance him?" "No sir. Rex told us that he would only do it after he has completed the training" "I see, Rex" "My reasons are that if we are to put in during the training, he may be overusing it and it may be his biggest weakness. Plus, I wanted to spend a bit more time adjusting it to his battle style and allowing over scientist and doctors to study his battling style" "Fair reasoning Captain. Understood. But I would like to test him anyway" "Understood"

"Riven" "Yes Mark?" "I would like to test your strength" "Alright then. I am ready. Bring it" "Here is why they call me the Iron Knight" At that moment, a metal started to surround him and engulf him. When he emerged, he looked just like Iron man. "Wow" "Now…bring it"

After around 10 minutes, Riven was extremely tired and fell to the ground. "Well done, you lasted longer than even the most elite troopers in hand to hand" "Thank you sir" "Come, we need to talk" as they were walking down the hall with Captain Rex, he spotted something. "What's this?" "Oh, this. This is actually a design on some metal implants that we wanted to put into you to improve your fighting" "Ok. Interesting" "We initially wanted to implant it before you started training. But I decided to hold it off" Rex explained. "Do you think you are ready for it?" "yes, I am ready for it" "Alright then, let's get this sorted out. The armor is slightly more durable then the normal ARC trooper armor, which is already near indestructible and a bit lighter, which is impressive since the normal ARC trooper armor weighs at around 1.25kg, which is super light and cannot make a sound when moving. This armor will be injected or put into your muscles and bones as well as vital organs. These implants also come with a small healing factor. It is not major, but will help you, especially if the armor is breached. It can withstand sniper hits from a blaster and still come out without even a scratch, which are meant to only focus it's energy on one point. Normal armor disperses the energy around the body, or armor in this case. We have trialed and tested it many many times to see what can breached it. It turned out, everything in our disposal cannot breach it. You will also be implanted with some weapons. Like swords that come out of your hand, to machine guns… well you get the idea. Your body will be immune to injections and other kinds of internal things. It will help heal your wounds. So, you will lead the ARC trooper core in many missions and you will mostly bring them to victory. Understood" "Understood. But I have one question. Why do only the ARC trooper gets these armor?" "Cost to make them. A normal clone armor cost around 10k. But, an ARC trooper armor cost around 2.5 billion dollar. That is basically how many troopers we have currently. And this is not including how many troopers in in the core" "Wow, that is a lot of money" "It sure is and even the richest organizations have a limit to how much we spend. Your armor cost even more! Nearly 10 billion dollars!" "Ok. I understand" "So, any more questions?" "None, sir" "Very well, let's begin"

Present time…

Riven was on the stealth ship alongside his ARC trooper core. They were on a mission to infiltrate and get as much valuable data as possible. Under Riven's leadership, the ARC trooper core has continuously won battle after battle with a lot less casualties. Now, they were about to infiltrate an extremely high security base of the Empire. They were there as they had gathered intel that that base was where the Empire stores most of their secrets and plan of operations and wars that they planned.

"Remember Cody, once we get out of there or I tell you to attack, give them hell. Leave no survivors" Riven told Cody in his hologram. "Yes sir" "Alright then boys, let's get armed and let's roll out. You know what we came here for" "Sir yes sir" "Remember, be as quiet as possible"

They got on top of the building and landed extremely silently. There were a few battle droids on the roof but were all destroyed extremely quickly. They then went down the stairs and managed to destroy a lot of droids as they did not have the chance to sound the alarm. They actually managed destroy the droids extremely quietly and quickly. They managed to get to the vault where there are plenty of droids guarding the place.

"Well guys, this is where the fun begins. Ready boys?" "You know us, always ready" "Alright then. Cody, begin the assault" Riven then put on his mask. "Yes sir. Alright boys, move in now! Let's go go go go!" The Venator-class star destroyers then opened and out came gunships and the starfighters. The assault ships, corvettes and freighters that were present around there started to move in into attack positions and engaged capital ships of the Empire, which are the star destroyers such as the Resurgent-class star destroyer, victory-class star destroyer and a lot of other ships. This planet was one of the most guarded Imperial facilities in the Empire yet do not ask how they managed to break through that wall of ships, frigates and other things. Both sides released their starfighter squadrons as the New Republic continued to try and move through the blockade.

"General, we are under attack! Our fighters in space are engaging the Republic starfighters and it appears that they are sending their Acclamator-class trans galactic military assault ship through the blockade!" "Those new Republic insects. Reinforcements are on the way now! Keep them away from the building at all cost. Even if it means destroying it" "Yes sir. Battle droids go go go! Protect this place!" They unleashed their battle droids into attack position as they tried to stop the forces that are coming through the atmosphere and into the planet. The Republic forces launched their LAAT/i and s as they came closer and closer to the building. They dropped their men and tanks as a battle enraged outside the building.

This was all part of Riven's plan. He knew that they would go unnoticed and that the forces outside would engage in a battle between them. "Now, for our pieces of fun. Move in now!" "You heard the general. Let's go!" They burst into the room as they engaged the battle droids. The battle droids engaged back but the armor on the ARC trooper was extremely strong and not destroyed by normal laser blasters, unlike most of the other trooper's armor.

(Sidenote: as they go up the rank, their armor also gets stronger and more durable.

A normal armor of a clone can only take one shot of a normal blaster and it is kind of heavy, like around 10kg. I have no idea how heavy it is.

A normal commander's armor is a bit stronger than that of a normal clone.

But if you are in the ARC trooper core, your armor is near indestructible. It can tank a lot of blasters, like sniper hits and will not even come out scratched. So it is yah, near indestructible and super light, around 1.25kg. You will need a lot of firepower to even do some damage to the armor. The exception is Cody, who has a similar armor just that he does not want to be in the ARC trooper core.

Riven has this kind of armor in his body except that it is a bit lighter, around 1kg, and slightly stronger than the ARC trooper armor. It is in his bones and muscles, as explained earlier in the chapter.)

The droids got destroyed easily by the ARC troopers and Riven. They then went to the computer and plucked in the data files. "you lot there, stand there and guard the front entrance. You three there, find another exit. The rest of us will defend here and get the data" "Yes sir" "How much longer Rex?" "There are a lot of files in this computer, it will take 10 minutes to finish sir" "Ok then. Cody, how are you and your troops doing?" "Not very well. We are currently pushing forward, but it is very slow. I estimate it may take another 30-45 minutes to reach the building" "Understood. Over and out"

10 minutes later…

"General, we have all the data" "Good job Rex. Now let's get out of here!" "Understood. Alright boys, let's get out here!" They quickly gathered their stuff and left. But as they were leaving, something caught Riven's eyes. A room that says something like this

'DO NOT ENTER: OPERATION MAGIX'

Riven knew what this is. This was the capital of the magic dimension. "Stop, everyone!" Everyone stopped, puzzled at why he asked them to stop running. Riven walked up to the door and sliced the door open. "Rex, Storm, Echo, Fives and Caleb. With me to this room, the rest of you stay outside!" They followed their orders. The six of them went into the room.

It was dark, pitch black. The six of them put on their night vision goggles, although Riven did not have to put it on. He just simply thought of having night vision. They had their guns out. "This place gives me a bad feeling" Caleb said, shivering a bit. "Quiet Caleb" Storm said. Rex looked down and saw something, but could not make it out. "I see somethings below, but I cannot make it out" "Understood. We will find a way down there. Look, there is a computer screen just ahead of us" The six of them slowly walked towards the computer where they found nobody. "Odd, I thought there was going to be a fight" Echo said. "You can say that again" Fives replied. Riven sat on the seat and decided to look into the computer. Something was off. He could feel it, and he wanted to know what it was. 5 minutes have passed and he was shocked at what he had found. "Sir, is something wrong?"

At his face was an entire mission dedicated to conquering Magix. They planned to take over everything of it and take the fairies, witches, basically everything and make that place into an inhabitable place where after everything is done, they would blow it all up! Riven was in total shock and could not move. He knew that the Empire was bad, but this was even worse. Hatred was in his eyes as he could feel something boil in him. Rex was about to ask when he got a call. "Rex, this is Commander Cody, we are near the place, but reinforcements have arrived. Should we asked for backup or continue with the mission?" "I don't know Cody. Hold your position" "Understood. Play defensively now!" "Sir, the enemy has been backup, what should we do? Sir?" Riven was near tears. But he hoped that was not the case and that there was still time to set things right, or better yet, have not even begun. But then he saw a small tagline at the side saying. "As a last resort" He did not know what that meant, but he knew he had to report this back to the HQ. "Rex, download all the files in this computer, ever single bit of it" "Understood" He plugged it in. "It will take a while sir, around 5 minutes" "Understood, but we are getting out of here as soon as it finishes and give the data file of this one to me" Five minutes have passed and everything was downloaded and passed it to him. "Right, let's get out here" They rallied the troopers and quickly left. "Commando droids are blocking the path sir" "Then let's cut or gun them down" They quickly disposed the droids and left. They hoped on to their stealth ship and left. "Cody… finish the base off" "Yes sir. Light the place up!" They saw the building collapse as they watched.

They returned back to base where Mark was there. "Congrats, how was the mission" "Smooth, here is the data files you asked for" Rex said. "Awesome, meet me at the command center at 1430. Understood?" "Yes sir" They went to their rooms then.

Riven was staring at a photo of him and Musa. He wondered what would happen if the Empire forced them to fight him and his clones. Would he stop and save her, or gun her down? This was conflicting as he started to redevelop why he loved her in the first place. But it would not matter as of now as he needed to report back to command.

Meanwhile… at the other edge of the galaxy

"Lord of Chaos, we have lost the planet of secrets. Our secrets are now with the Republic" "We have been losing battle after battle! Why can't we win!" "My apology my lord, but I don't lord why" "There has to be a reason. I did not want to resort to this but… activate Operation Magix!" "Yes, my lord" "Soon Mark, soon, we will turn the tide on you and your little Republic. Then I will see you dead! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Thanks to the efforts of the ARC troopers and the legion led by Commander Cody, we were able to gather plenty of intel on what is going to happen and their formations and other things. We are now more prepared for anything the Empire throws against us. Thanks to this, the momentum is firmly in our favor" Mark remarked. Everyone was staring at the intel and cheering. "Anything else the people here want to bring up?"

"I do" "Riven, what now?" "There is something you need to see" Riven took out the drive from his pocket and gave it to Mark. He then plucked it in and it startled everyone. "You must be worried sick now Riven, considering that this is where you come from" Riven nodded. "It appears that the Empire must really be getting desperate as I have never seen the Empire this desperate before. But with magical creatures, this could turn the tide back in their favor. I am worried that they could easily destroy our troopers. With the number of casualties on the front lines already pretty high, this could make it even higher. By my estimates, around four times the casualties. But it appears that they want to grab them as it will be the only way to turn the tide back" "What do we do? They must have invaded this magic dimension already" Riven voiced out. "Don't worry. I have been monitoring activity and they have not never been used… until today. Looks like they are making their move and may be close to making an all out assault soon. I will have to send the 501st legion there to stop the bleeding as they are the closest there after their mission. Riven, you will head there as well along with a squadron of the ARC troopers. Rex, Echo, Fives, the three of you will be heading there as well. Most of the other legions are currently in existing battles. So you 4 will be at it on your own. Take a few other clone squadrons there as well. You will not be getting any reinforcements for a while" "Understood sir" "Pack your things, you will not be returning for a while"

They went to their rooms and grabbed their gear. They then boarded their Destroyer and left for the magic dimension. "Don't worry, we will save them until reinforcements can arrive" "Thank you Rex" Right now, saving his people are what mattered the most to him. He will not let the Empire take away what he cares about.
