Just an idea that popped into my head, no clue how it'll turn out, but let's give it a shot! Enjoy!
Italics- Kanone's thoughts
Bold Italics-
Kiyotaka's thoughts
Children…
We Blade Children… are we just that? Are we simple children playing our deadly games?
Kanone watched from his perch in the darkness, golden eyes glowing, as the Hunters scrambled.
Just playing their games…
How long will we roll our dice and deal our cards? How long can we keep up this twisted play time?
He smirked to himself as another explosion went off, triggered by the pressure of one of the men's feet.
Immature…childish…selfish…
Can our faux innocence withstand tests even as great as time? Can we keep up these masks just a bit longer?
Illuminated olive-green eyes scanned the battle ground as limbs and bodies went flying as more explosions sounded below him. All just a simple game of chance to him.
But children must heed warnings…
Will we ever grow up? Will our fate allow us to? Or will remain children of the blade?
He was so focused, in fact, that he didn't happen to see the stray man behind him, also cloaked in shadows and invisible to the Blade Child's senses.
And the Blade Children are no different…
Or perhaps…will our game end before we're allowed to become anything more than children?
Before he could react, a hand clamped down around his throat, squeezing the life out of his suddenly fragile lungs.
So, I bid you, Blade Children, heed this warning, and listen well…
Do we Blade Children get no five minute warning? No do-overs? No extra time if we ask enough and act good?
His hand shot up to grasp at the other's wrist, but to no avail. He gasped out his last breath as he glanced up into the eyes of his so called savior, Kiyotaka Narumi.
Game over.
I know it's short, but not really much I wanted to do with it besides that. I actually didn't plan on this format at all, but I've always been a fan of it, so I went with it. Hope you liked it, despite the length. Review!
