During the war, he had to do some awful things.
He killed people, for if he didn't, he would be killed.
Voldemort was a fool. He only thought of ways to beat Harry Potter, never thinking that he would lose in the end.
Draco had known all along that Harry would win because Harry always won. He got the girl, fame, and he had unshakable courage. Harry was a true Gryffindor.
Draco could have been too.
The sorting hat wanted him in Gryffindor in that moment it was on his head. But Draco only thought of Slytherin, so the hat put him there. All of these years later, he questions if he made the right decision.
He guessed he'd really never know.
One tear fell from Draco's eye as he lay in bed, waiting for sleep to take over.
And he slept peacefully, changing his life in his dreams, for the first time in quite a while.
