REMINESCENSE
4 years have passed since that incident and things just couldn't be better... With Krad gone for ever everything was so peaceful. Hiwatari-kun turned into an ordinary 14 year-old student who can actually have fun. His father came to his senses but when it was too late. The only good thing he thought he could do for everyone was to let Dark have his body. Both Dark and Daisuke found their Holy Madens.
The mists embraced the night as silence started to reign over the surroundings... Dark and Risa were sound asleep in each other's arms... Everything was serene... everything beside his dream...

"I will probably not be able to give you this letter... I have decided that I will never see you again. If you are the one that carries fate, I know that my meeting you is my fate. "What do you mean by this...? Rika... what's with this letter...?"
"Why have you come back?" she whispered between sour tears. "I can't be with you... at least not for the time being..."
"I need an explication... You don't expect me to just give up on you..."
"It's because of me that you got hurt last time... because I didn't stay put like you told me to..."
"No it's not! I will definitely defeat Krad and we'll be able to be together..."

On the white, new fallen snow there were pools of blood. A woman's figure sat covered in white as her blood melted the icy snow.
"Why did it get to this... Why did it have to be this way?"
She placed a hand on his face... She was cold, but her eyes were as loving and warm as always... even now, they still had that fire burning inside of them...
"I loved you and I always will... I don't regret any of the moments I have spent with you...but for now... it's sayonara... for you for my children... watch over them..." her hand fell on the ground... Dark's scream was heard in the deepest darkness... Krad had gotten what he deserved, but his death wasn't enough to bring her back...

That was the night when Kaitou Dark had disappeared again for 40 years... He came back to meet Rika's grand-daughter.
"At first I just saw the Rika in you... Now I see you have a soul of your own..."
He embraced her tight and whispered "I love you, my Holy Maiden...". "Rika... I couldn't be there beside you... I wasn't strong enough to protect you... But I am strong now, and I have to thank you for that..." He placed a gentle kiss on Risa's forehead and watched her as she cuddled to his chest, while being far away in her dream-world. "I found my most prized possession, and I will never let it go..."
