"I bet you broke a lot of hearts in high school," Collins said, sitting down next to Angel.

"Oh! Look who's talking. I bet you were a player," Angel giggled.

Collins frowned, "No seriously, did you break a lot of hearts?"

"Eh…" Angel smiled. "One, I think."

"Tell me about this 'one'," Collins teased, wrapping his arm around the drag queen.

"I love you, Angel."

The boy stopped dead in his tracks. "What?" he said, turning around.

The red haired boy smiled, "You heard me. And I know it's soon, but I really needed to say that."

Angel didn't say anything. She couldn't say anything.

"Do you… Do you not love me?" Daniel asked.

Angel sighed, "We've only been together a week, and we're not even dating," she argued.

"Angel, I've liked you since 4thgrade," Daniel said.

"Daniel, I can't make myself like you. I know it hurts, but I'm just being honest. I don't want to lead you on."

"You… you never even liked me? But you said-" Daniel pleaded.

"I know what I said," Angel sighed. "I thought, I really thought I did. But those feelings, were temporary. They weren't true, as much as I'd like them to be true. I can't force something that isn't going to happen."

"Fine," Daniel voice cracked.

"And, I'm moving to another school next year! What's going to happen then? I don't want to hurt you," Angel said.

"I'll always love you," Daniel said. "And I'll always be waiting for you, because you and I? We're soul mates, and I know it."

"It broke my heart to have to break his," Angel concluded. "But it was never going to work, I could tell from the start. Besides, he had this weird relationship with his mom. Like, he told her everything. And I mean everything."

"Do you think he's still waiting for you?" Collins asked.

"I sure hope not. That'd be creepy," Angel smiled.

"Are we soul mates?" Collins brought Angel closer.

"Most definitely," Angel kissed him. Pulling away, she said, "Now, tell me about all of the hearts you broke."

Collins laughed. "Another day."

Angel shrieked, "HELP!" she cried. "The love of my life is turning into Roger Davis!"

Laughing, Collins put his head on Angel's shoulder. "Well, I was with Maureen for a little while, but I don't think I broke her heart."

"Oh yeah? Did she break yours?" Angel smiled.

"Not exactly…" Collins said.

"So…. This has been fun," Maureen said, her voice drifting off.

"Mhmm…" Collins nodded awkwardly.

"I think I'm a lesbian," Maureen blurted out.

Collins was startled, but then his face softened. "Yeah, I know I'm gay now."

Completely ignoring what Collins had just said, Maureen continued, "But I might be bi. I mean, how could I know?"

"So what are we going to do?" Collins asked.

"Oh, I'm definitely coming out. I've been waiting all year to have something interesting to announce. This'll shake the school up. Might as well burn some bridges while I'm at it," Maureen smiled. "And you?"

"I don't think I'm ready for the whole school to know. But maybe… I'll see," Collins said thoughtfully.

"Alright," Maureen settled. "One last kiss?"

"Okay," Collins said, leaning down and pressing his lips against Maureen's.

Maureen licked her lips, "Man, am I going to miss that taste."

"Ewww! Collins," Angel groaned. "She didn't actually say that, did she?"

The anarchist laughed, "You heard her when we played Spin the Bottle, right? Remember that? I think her exact words were, 'still tastes just as good,'" Collins teased.

Angel playfully hit Collins with a pillow. "No more of this ex talk."

"I think I can handle that," Collins smiled, pressing his lips softly against hers.
