HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! How was 2011 for you? It was great for me! So much stuff happened...

Anyways, enough about me! Lets get onto the story!

This was inspired by the amazing song, Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift ft the Civil Wars... Its an amazing song. I really wanted to write a story for Percy Jackson.

I am not a middle aged man with an amazing imagination... :(

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now.

Annabeth tossed and turned in her bed. Sleep wouldn't find her, despite the fact that she'd been up for close to three days straight. She would have thought that since they found Percy and that he remembered her, everything would be fine. That was partially true. Sure, she was so much more noticeably happier, the Great Prophecy still shook her.

Giving up on trying to sleep, Annabeth stood from her cot and walked out the door. Not sure where to go she just let her feet take her anywhere. Crawling up the stairs leading to the deck she reached the railing and stared up at the fading sun. She felt a small tear slide down her face. The stress became too much for her she just needed to let it out.

"Annabeth?" She quickly wiped her eyes and turned around hoping that the person behind her wouldn't see the faint tears that stained her face.

A familiar mop of black hair stood behind the ships wheel and his sea green eyes stared at her with worry.

She faked a smile. "Percy," Her voice cracked. 'Damn´

"Wise Girl, what's wrong?" He willed the wheel to manage itself and walked over to Annabeth.

Annabeth sniffed and cursed at herself for letting another tear escape her eyes. She sighed and hugged Percy's strong figure. Percy wrapped his strong arms around her slender waist and rested his chin atop her curly blonde hair. More tears slid down her face until she started to sob. She could feel Percy's shirt becoming soaked with tears. Percy rubbed her back and hugged her tighter.

Percy released her waist, much to Annabeth's dismay and gripped her hand. He stared into her once piercing silver eyes which are now a dull cloudy grey. He tilted his head to the stairway and Annabeth slowly nodded. He gave her a small smile and led her to his bed.

Annabeth crawled under his blanket and Percy followed. He wrapped his arms around her again and stared into her red eyes.

"You feeling better?" Percy whispered.

Annabeth nodded. "Yea.. just a bit."

"That's good." Percy smiled. "Just close your eyes. Okay? Nothing will hurt you." Annabeth nodded again and sunk deeper into his chest and closed her eyes.

Come morning light, you and I'll be
Safe and Sound...
