Breakfast at the Son House

The sun rose on a quiet peaceful Son house. The Sons were all asleep in their beds and
Mr. Piccolo was asleep on the living room floor where he had passed out the night before after
a hard day of training with Gohan. He stirred slightly when he heard Chi-Chi leave for the
store to get breakfast for the rest of her family. He stirred even more when he heard the
familiar rustle of a paper bag. Curiously he opened his eyes and waited for Chi-Chi to go back
upstairs to wake Gohan and Goku. Sure that it was safe, he walked into the kitchen and his eyes
widened with excitement.
Slowly, but surely, Goku and Gohan woke up and were greeted by several gasps and a loud
yell.
"HOWIE'S!!!" Piccolo yelled from the kitchen. The two Saiy-jins perked up at the
mention of the best bagels in the world and they bounded down the stairs. They practically fell
down them in their haste to get to the kitchen. Piccolo was quite surprised when he was chilled
by an amazing breeze and he was even more surprised, if not horrified, to find Goku and Gohan
now in front of him devouring the sack of bagels. "Wh...but....NOOOOOOOOO!" Piccolo dove in
and grabbed the first bagel he could get his hands on and in another leap picked up a very large
kitchen knife with which to defend it.
"Get back! This is MY bagel!" He held the knife menacingly at the two Saiy-jins who
had finished the rest of the bagels and turned toward him.
"But...but Piccolo," Goku whined, "I'm hungry, and besides, you don't even need to eat!"
"You don't understand! This is a Howie's cheddar cheese bagel! These are the best
bagels in the world!" Piccolo scowled. "Now where's the cream cheese?"
At the same time Piccolo and Goku noticed that Gohan had retreated to a corner with the
cream cheese and was now happily eating it with his fingers.
Piccolo stalked over to him and snatched the cream cheese "Gimme that!" Then he
proceeded to spread cream cheese on his bagel with the kitchen knife while glowering at Gohan.
Goku, seeing that Piccolo was distracted, used this opportunity to snatch the bagel away from
him.
As he was bringing the pilfered bagel to his mouth, Piccolo hit him from behind sending
the bagel flying. Suddenly everything went into slow motion as the three bagel-crazed warriors
dove for the bagel.
They all looked on in horror as the bagel flew over their heads and into the eager hands
of Chi-Chi. They all gaped as she smiled mischievously. "Thanks." She said, taking a bite and
winking.
Piccolo fell to his knees and screamed, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! MY BAGEL!!!!!" Gohan
and Goku collapsed in a corner crying, and Chi-Chi laughed maniacally.
