Regina woke Emma up early that morning. She didn't want her wife to miss out on this special day. Together they went to their youngest, finding her jumping up and down before her bedroom window.
Regina smiled lovingly, leaning against the doorframe, while Emma walked up to the little blonde and took her in her arms.
"Look, Mama! The Easter bunny came by. Can I go and look for the chocolate eggs outside?" the child said excited.
"I don't know, baby." Emma teased. "Are you sure you were good enough this year?"
The little blonde looked up to her mother with an offended look on her adorable little face. "Mama, I have been the bestest! Haven't gotten into trouble this year, right Mommy?" She asked looking from one mother to the other.
"It's best, not 'bestest', Lily, but have indeed been a very good girl. Mama was just being silly. Now, you go get dressed, while we go wake your brother, then we can all go outside together.
The little three-year-old immediately ran to her closet and picked up a very colorful outfit. Regina rolled her eyes, chuckling at how badly everything matched.
Quietly, she whispered into her wife's ear, "why don't you go wake Henry, while I help our little rainbow get dressed."
Barely half an hour later, the family was walking into the backyard. Both children had a basket in their hand, ready to go hunt for chocolate eggs. In the meantime, both mothers sat down in the launch, watching their kids run around happily.
After they had found all the eggs, the children joined their mothers in the launch. Lily frowned as she looked from her basket to her brother's. "Hey!" She exclaimed, making the others look at her. "I got more eggs then Henry, that's not fair!"
The little girl took a few eggs from her basket and placed them in Henry's. Both mothers watched on proudly, as their daughter was sharing her treats equally between herself and her brother.
Henry rolled his eyes. Being much older than his little sister, he had purposely found fewer eggs than her and here she was giving him an equal amount. Before she could place the last two eggs to make it equal in Henry's basket, he stopped her. "Why don't you give those two to Moms?"
The little girl nodded happily and handed each mother an egg. Both Emma and Regina kissed Lily's forehead, before placing the egg back into their daughter's basket.
It was in these kinds of moments that Emma felt the happiest. She never had a steady family who loved her while growing up, but now Regina had given her everything she'd ever dreamed of. Her life was so perfect a joyful tear rolled down her cheek.
Seeing the emotion in her wife's face, Regina kissed her before pulling her into a tight hug. Soon after, their two children joined in; you could see the love radiated from the family from miles away.
