Ichigo lay on his bed, looking at the ceiling. The room was silent as he reflected. His chest felt empty, like it always did when his hollow took over. It was almost as if his heart wasn't beating.
It had only been a week since he'd last seen his… lover, for lack of a better word. Ichigo couldn't believe he felt as though he was dying. He felt so alone.
Every day they were apart, simply broke his heart more. It made him wish for his lover to come back. He wanted to feel again. He wanted to be able to feel without the pain.
The man didn't realize how much Ichigo needed him. Not as a lover. Or even a friend or a rival. He needed something to make sure he knew he was still human. That the war didn't completely break him.
Once Ichigo sees him again, the man will know how much he needs him because he'll never let him go again.
Without him, Ichigo's lost. There is nothing he can do to find his way.
Ichigo feels as though he can't go on without him.
If he isn't holding onto him then he'll be holding out forever.
Ichigo looked at the bass guitar sitting in the corner. He'd always been the boy's inspiration for writing the sappy romance shit that almost everyone liked. Without him, no music came to mind.
The man was like the river that would flow away or a feather that would blow away in the wind.
That man didn't know, but he was Ichigo's fairytale. Ichigo wouldn't admit that to anyone.
He was the game and Ichigo was the player.
He was the sinner, Ichigo was his savior.
He's the villain that Ichigo is willing to save.
Ichigo closed his brown eyes. He didn't know how long he could wait, but he would wait just another day just to see him again. The larger man was how Ichigo was going to wash the pain away.
It's never too late.
The light taps on his window made him open his eyes. It's not supposed to rain today.
He turned his head to look at the window and his eyes widen in moderate surprise. He sat up and walked calmly to the window before opening it. The man stepped inside, the usual smirk on his face.
"Ya miss me Berry?" Ichigo's brown eyes rolled as he closed the window and walked back over to the bed.
"What kept you?" Ichigo asked. The man shrugged before sitting next to him.
"Does it matter? I'm here now." Ichigo smiled and leaned over slightly so that his head rested on a large shoulder.
"You're right." It was silent before the boy sat up and rolled to straddle his lap, surprising the larger man. There was a smirk on the Soul Reaper's face before he leaned down and pressed his lips to the man's. He hadn't changed in a week.
Large hands came up and placed themselves on his hips. Ichigo smiled into the kiss.
The man would never know that Ichigo had grown attached to him. That the boy had a hard time being without him.
He would never know that every moment Ichigo was with him was like holding on to heaven.
They pulled away from the kiss, Ichigo's cheeks flushed as he panted slightly. The man wearing his usual smirk before it faltered slightly.
"I love ya Berry." The man said. Ichigo was shocked; he couldn't even correct him that his name was not 'Berry.' A smile spread across Ichigo's face before he leaned down and placed another kiss to his lips. He pulled away and smiled.
"I love you too Grimmjow." The man smirked before switching their position, now he straddled Ichigo. The boy chuckled before letting Grimmjow have his way… just this once.
