It's a cruel game they play. And nobody plays it quite as well as they do.

He likes to play with hearts. She knows. Everyone does. That however doesn't stop countless girls from falling into his traps. He has that uncanny skill to draw them in like moths to a flame and to make every single one of them believe that they are the one, that they could change him. How foolish they are…

She knows better. She knows that he is far too arrogant, too sure of himself to really change for anyone. So, she stands on the sidelines, quite amused and watches his games unfold, again and again. She watches and plays too.

She makes his games her own. She would try to predict his next prey, try to guess which strategies and tactics he would use, how long it would take him to capture their heart and how long they would last until he moves on to the next. Soon enough she knows pretty much everything about him, his little tells, the way he moves to impress them and the mischievous smirk he wears when he knows he got them.

He on the other hand can't figure her out. She is pretty enough, quite smart and incredibly talented yet she is always alone, isolated by her own choice. Sometimes he would catch her staring, never admiringly like all the others but always with a calculating glint in her eyes and occasionally a wicked grin on her lips. She is intriguing. He is enticed.

It really is just a matter of time before he decides that what he wants more than anything else is to play with her heart. Too bad she knows his games like the back of her hand. If he wants to play however she will play with him. It is time for a new game anyway. She knows it would be pointless to try to aim for his heart. She has seen plenty try and fail. But she has always been particularly skilled at spotting weak spots and so she decides that her new favorite plaything is going to be his mind.

They both love to win. Little do they know that there will be no winner in this twisted game of theirs. He lost the moment he first started to notice her. She lost the moment she started to play with his games. But somehow along the way it stops to matter, both of them far too caught up in their vicious little game, getting lost in this fragile world they built together filled with taunts and banter, brawls and caresses, hatred and love and everything in between.
