If It Were Real…
Everything was a blur. All I could remember was a swift movement and the next thing I knew I was lying on the ground with my hand round my stomach. The pain was unbearable. I felt something warm and wet on my hand. I was bleeding. Profusely! Gathering the last of my chakra, I tried to heal the wound but the cut was too deep. I could not regenerate my cells quick enough to repair the torn tissues.
I pushed myself to stand up and as I staggered across the battlefield in search of a safer place to recuperate before returning to the battle, an enemy snuck up from behind me and strikes me. I was caught unawares as something sharp like a kunai pierce through my back and hit one of my chakra points.
"YUKI! Are you alright?! Hang in there! The med nins are coming for you." My beloved said franticly with his arm round my shoulders.
"I am a medical ninja." I opened my eyes and smiled, coughing out some blood.
"Some of your chakra points are blocked. You need help." He replied staring at me with his pale grey eyes.
"Neji," I reached out my bloodied hand to touch his cheek. "Gomen ne. I won't make it. I know it."
"No! You will! You promised me you'll live on after Sasuke died!" Neji cried. Tears streamed down his face. It was the first time I saw Neji cried like that.
"I forbid you to cry in front of me Neji!" I chided. "I guess it's my destiny to leave…"
"No…" Neji murmured; pulling my hand away from his cheek, leaving a bloodstain on his face.
Neji leaned down and gave me a soft tender kiss. Our last kiss. A tear slipped from my eye and I whispered my last words to him. "I…will…love…you…forever…" I smiled as darkness started to sink in.
"Ahhhh!" I gasped. Trying hard to breathe again.
"Am I in heaven?" I asked myself.
I looked around. I was in my own room. I quickly locked my gaze on my stomach. No bleeding. Then, I ran to the mirror and turned around to stare at my back. No pierce marks. To make sure I was wake and not in heaven, I pinched myself.
"OUCH!" I winced.
As I stared at my own reflection, I was fine. Not a scratch in sight. Suddenly, without thinking, I dashed out the door to the training grounds. There in the sweltering late morning was Team Gai training. Gai was personally training Lee while Neji was training with Tenten. I rushed up to them. Tenten stared at me while Neji gave me a questioning look. Gai and Lee, as usual, were oblivious to their surroundings.
I ran towards Neji and hugged him. Tenten gasped. It was then Gai and Lee stopped their training too. I looked up at Neji and blushed and hugged him even tighter. Neji was too petrified to even move. His eyes were wide open.
"It was just a dream .Only a dream." I mumbled.
