Title: Gone
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not my characters.
Summary: Post-ep for In Country.
A/N: For Nancy, who wanted Gunny.
Marines don't cry.
Gunny stares down at Fareeza's body. He'd worried about her all night, praying that her life would be spared. He'd almost convinced himself she was alright, but there was some part of him that had known.
Just another casualty of war. A nameless victim in the war against terror.
No, Gunny thinks. Not to him. She was the woman he loved.
Had loved.
Ironic, then, that she hadn't loved him. He thinks that one day she might have.
But all this imagining isn't going to change anything. Fareeza is gone and now he'll never know.
Gunny cries.
Title: Regrets
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Everything is different.
A/N: For Nancy, who asked for Harm/Mac.
She used to wonder how it would finally happen. After one near-death experience too many, perhaps. Or maybe it would be romantic; candlelit dinners and roses.
She should have known it would be neither. Their relationship has never been predictable.
A late night. Her office. Arguing about a plea bargain (she offered, he declined).
She spun away from him, throwing up her hands. He touched her shoulder, turned her to face him. They kissed; hot and frantic. He pushed her up against the filing cabinet.
Now, the morning after, she regrets it. Everything is different.
She hopes they're still friends.
