A/N: This story is in Robin's point of view. This story just came to me after I watched the movie. This is also my first Fanfiction story, so sorry if it is bad.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Secret of Moonacre.
Maria was standing on the edge of the cliff with a determined and confused look on her face. Every time she would try to throw the pearls into the sea, they would just fly back to her. On her second attempt, to return the pearls to the sea, the pearls came back and attached themselves to her dress, in the same design that the first moon princess had when she first got the pearls. She knew what she had to do. Maria turned around to look at us and then gave a little smile. She turned back toward the sea and jumped. My heart plummeted right at that moment.
She's going to die!
I ran toward the cliff's edge with the others hot on my trail. I reached the edge and quickly knelt down to look over. I needed to see if I saw Maria. But all I saw were rocks and water. No Maria. I felt paralyzed.
She's dead, gone, never coming back. I should have stopped her, saved her. I don't know why I feel this way toward a Merryweather when I'm a De Noir, but I don't care. I lost my Maria, my Princess.
The next thing I knew was, there was a white flash of light that came racing across Moonacre Valley, created by the moon. All of us shielded our eyes and stumbled backwards to the center of the cliff. The moon had created a huge tidal wave that was coming toward the cliff. On the wave was a long line of horses, galloping on the water. In the middle of the long line of horses, there was a majestic, white unicorn.
I never saw a unicorn before. Wait! The unicorn was carrying something, no someone, on its back. Could it be?
The wave drew closer, and finally the unicorn had stepped on to the cliff's edge. Maria was lying on its back.
"Maria!" I shouted with relief.
She started to push herself up to sitting position and looked around. She had a confused look on her face as I ran toward her. I reached her side in no time and stared at her few seconds before I placed my hands on her hips to help her down from the mythical horse. She smiled at me and I returned her one back. We stared at each other for a couple of seconds until I grabbed her cheeks into my hands and forcefully made her lips meet mine. She was surprised at first, but she slowly relaxed into my hold. I pulled away and looked into her eyes dropping my hands to her shoulders. She looked at me then asked, "Were you worried about me Robin?" with a teasing smile on her face.
I smiled then shrugged with a slight blush on my face. "No, anybody could have done that."
