Dear Jeane,

I've played the same old scenario over and over in my head until the pain of my love for you demands another step for an answer- a truth that you can only possess. I bear the thought of your smile like the north star that led me to this and the twinkle of your eyes like a treasured pearl shining through the depth of the sea from whence you looked at me.

I'm bewitched by the spell it has cast upon me, but whether it was by your will or just the beauty of your presence I need to know and I relish the need that it was your will. You're in my mind as much as the waves that sings eternal around us and I can't find it tireless. I would willingly dive in its danger if permissible and love myself for a fool. To find that the water is warm I'm sure, like the light of your skin.

I ask that you give me the chance to let free the breaths that I've held for you. For that, I request a rendezvous. Two moons from now by the time you get this letter the ship will dock upon Nay Island for supply runs. I will wait for you across the eastern bridge from the Inn until the sun rise the following morning.

Why this letter you may wonder. What coward hides behind writings? I shamelessly admit to being a coward, one whose fear has only been my love. The same fear that make the bravest weak in the knees. The same fear that drives me mad until I face you one way or another. Its irony has destined me, and I will take it gladly.

For it were the angels that beat on my heart like a drum until the music create the image of your loveliness. You now govern it and your magic is permanent.

I am marked and I need you because I'm ready. I wish to hear you bring true my dreams from your voice, but I will settle for anything your life touches.

In waiting,

Your secret dreamer.

Louise tucked the letter in her pocket before anyone notices and walked back to the saloon. Safe behind the bar-counter she pondered the circumstances. Etienne, Haruto, Ameria, Katarina, or Aldo? All of them were the last around the mail box. It could've been any of them who wrote it.

Normally Louise wouldn't bother with letters written for Jeane, but she fell in love with this letter. It has too much mystery and these were an odd bunch of suspect she'd never imagine to write such a letter for the Rune mistress.

The barkeep smiled. She has two days to enjoy figuring out who did it before she decides to take Jeane's place.
