Hey everyone. This story was written for both November Event: Marauders Map Madness and November Event: Build a Zoo on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For Marauders Map Madness my prompts are 61. Dark Hall (dialogues) "Does it hurt?" and 63. Hall of Hexes (AU) Apocalypse AU. For Build a Zoo my prompt set was Word: Enormous, Pairing: George/Seamus, and Setting: zoo for the elephant enclosure. I hope you all enjoy the first chapter of Apocalypse Impossible.

"Does it hurt?" Seamus Finningan asked his boyfriend George Weasley as leaned over him.

George felt like rolling his eyes as he lay on the ground with the enormous amount of pain that was radiating from his ankle. He didn't know how it had happened but when they had rounded the corner trying to escape their chasers he had somehow twisted his ankle. Biting back a scream of pain he concentrated on Seamus's face.

"Of course it hurts," he said through clenched teeth trying to keep the pain out of his voice. "I twisted my bloody ankle."

"Sorry," Seamus mumbled looking down.

"Don't be. You didn't make me twist my ankle. I did that all on my own."

"Do you think you can walk on it?"

"I can try. They'll find us sooner or later. We better start walking now."

Seamus helped George up to his feet taking much of the older man's weight on himself. Not for the first time he found himself wondering how they got there. How this Apocalypse had started and why it had to be zombies?

They had been visiting Fred's grave when it had all started and to say that George Romero got it right was an understatement. It had been just like George and Seamus had been thrown into a world much like a cross between Night of the Living Dead and The Walking Dead. That day they'd barely escaped with their lives. They and their small group of friends and family had been on the run ever since.

"Are we close?" George panted out the pain taking it's toll on him. He just wanted to sit down and get some pain medicine right about now. He felt himself slowing down.

"Don't stop now," Seamus told his boyfriend as they pasted the entrance to the zoo.

It had been a stroke of genius when George had suggested hiding the group out in the concession stand at the zoo. It was more of restaurant than a stand and luckily enough they'd just stocked up on food for the week before everything went down. He wondered dimly if George's mother was making something for dinner at this moment.

The gate clanged shut behind them and Sesmus felt more George's weight being taken from him. He looked over to find George's brother-in-law Harry taking George's other arm over his shoulder.

"What happened?" he asked urgently as they got him into the building. Before Seamus could answer him though Harry turned to Luna who was nearby and told her to go and get Hannah Longbottom.

"We were out on a run for some food," Seamus told him. Which was true the food supply was starting to get to the slim pickings part. "We got as much as we could fit in our backpacks when we ran in a few of the Deadies. George twisted his ankle as we were trying to escape them."

Hannah Abbott Longbottom walked in at this and set work assessing George's ankle. She tsked a couple of time before turning to George and Seamus with a shocked look. "He didn't twist his ankle," she told them. "He broke it. You guys were lucky to have escaped at all." She went to work healing George's injury as Seamus was lead towards the kitchen with their haul of food.

I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter of Apocalypse Impossible.
