Finishing a good meal is only complimentary when an after dinner mint is involved… maybe even a sundae or two.

Keiyou Presents:
Deja'Vu.
The outskirts of Paris was a beautiful place.
Edward Elric sighed deeply as he stood atop a hill overlooking the scenery of trees and fields that looked remarkably like the ones he played in when he was young.
Except…
The thought of his lost homeland brought a small longing for his past and with it a wish that he could see his friends from days lost running with him through the flowers and past the trees with intentions of hide and seek and pretend adventures in the taller grasses.
If logic hadn't been speaking for him, he could have sworn he could hear laughter being carried by the wind. Somehow it seemed out of place in such a foreign world, yet it felt like home.
"Brother, are you coming?"
Ed turned to see his younger brother standing a few feet away from him, a basket in his hands. Ed gave him a quizzical look as he assessed the rather flowery object. "Where did that come from?"
Alphonse looked at the basket like it was the last thing he expected to have before explaining himself. "I was walking past this group and they just gave it to me, it's full of apples."
"Gave it to you?" Ed looked around and spotted a group of people in the distance, decked out in skirts and floral color, looking back and giggling as they left. Of course that explained the laughter in the air… yet.
"Oh I get it, flirting with the ladies?" Ed said in a teasing voice, causing his brother to fumble with the basket and blush.
"No! Not at all, I just said hello, and-" Al said hastily. Meanwhile Ed put on a show of mock swooning.
"My little brother, the ladies man! They grow up so fast."
Al hunched his shoulders and huffed. "Your not funny, Ed."
"I wasn't trying to be, lover boy." Al let out a howl and suddenly Ed found he was running and ducking from lobbing red apples and laughing while Al fought diligently to defend his honor.
Somehow, to Ed; this felt like deja'vu.
Ed looked behind him and nearly gasped as visages of young children that resembled Al, himself, and every other kid from his generation that lived in the backwater town of Risembool galloped behind, laughing and singing an old local melody off key.
Ed blinked and the pleasant image was replaced with a fiery pissed off junior Elric out for sibling blood.
"I'll show you who has a temper, brother! Get back here and fight like a man!" Al shouted, chucking more red apples from the basket.
"Catch me first!" Ed yelled back, dodging another lethal throw.
As the two ran across the field, Ed couldn't help but think that perhaps one day; when they finished with what they were looking for in this far off world, they could run like this at home.
FIN.
There, did it damnit! It's a fic! A nicely written one and there outta the blue, just like before!!!
*rants and raves while the characters take the opportunity to run far away*
