Hi! This is my latest oneshot (I seem to be making loads of that lately). This one came from a picture of Botan; with bubble-gum as my muse.

Well, not much to say now. I just really, REALLY hope you like it. And I also hope you'll leave a review after you read, coz I notice that I get hundreds of hits, but only one or two reviews.

That said, READ and REVIEW:)

Bubble-Gum

Everything about her reminds me of that Ningen sweet... what was it again? Bubble-gum, or something like that.

I narrow my eyes from my position on the tree, watching how she moved and conversed with the rest of the Tantei. Her hair was soft and flowy; almost like liquid. Others consider it something like water, cascading down like a waterfall.

I call it bubble-gum.

I narrow my eyes some more as she giggles at one of the Detective's stupid quarrels with the oaf, Kuwabara. Her high-pitched voice rang like a bell. People say it sounds nice; like the voice of a sweet young maiden, or something like that... I consider it chipper and somewhat annoying.

I call it bubble-gum.

The said woman bobs up and down by the soles of her heels. I watch, almost mesmerized, as her long, sky-blue hair, moves with her. Her cheeks are flushed for laughing too much. Her eyes were sparkling pink... Most believe her eyes were the reflection of an azure-coloured sky; warm and inviting; during the early brinks of sunrise. I, however, believe its more to the bright, bubbly side.

I call it bubble-gum.

'Hiei? What are you doing there in that tree? Don't you want to come down?' the woman says, her pink eyes bright and full of mirth as she innocently invites me over to join the so-called "fun".

'Hn,' I reply, casually, wrapping my arms over my chest in attempt to look defiant.

The woman giggles before turning away to something the fox had to say. I continue to watch from my secluded position in the trees as the sunlight shines upon her shiny face; her sparkling eyes; her delicate pink lips.

I wince to get a further inspection.

Her lips seemed so nice and full and languid all at the same time. I heard once that it feels warm and smooth. I'd like to have an objection for that one; but I've never really tried them before. I had a guess, however, that it must have tasted like bubble-gum.

I blink, forcing my eyes off her.

How could I be thinking these things? What the hell possesed me to stare at the baka ferry onna? What in Enma's name was I doing?

I blink again. Thinking it through, I realized something...

I like bubble-gum.

Lol. How was that for an ending? Hehe. It sure was a nice chang compared to my usual "kiss and make up" rituals.

I know, I know. Hiei sounds a little bit out of character... or... maybe a lot... but I couldn't help myself! I was staring at a picture of Botan and suddenly thought of bubble-gum, which then led me to this. I needed to pair her off with someone because of it, and because my favourite character happened to be Hiei..., well...

Anyways, just think of it as what Hiei is musing about: he's not exactly saying it, right??? Oh, crap.
