Author's Notes: The challenge on this one? The ever popular poem:

Something borrowed
Something blue
Something old
Something new…

The Black Pearl. The illustrious ship tossed about on the waves of legend. An old girl, plowing through the crystal ocean, daring the sea to have its way with her. Her mast was like a fist upraised, challenging nature to best her. Old and cantankerous, that was the Pearl a'right. Old, cranky, and beautiful.

Jack Sparrow's hands lingered lovingly on the rail as he smiled at the feel of the burnished wood under his palms. No matter what they said – no matter how old the Black Pearl actually was – she was as pretty as the most nubile young woman in Tortuga.

And nothing was better than new loot on an old ship.
