Author's Note: Just a little thing I wrote today. As if it's not obvious enough, it's Derek and Casey. For some reason I just never used their names. Maybe it sounds better that way, I don't know, you tell me. R&R, please!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything though I wish I did.

"I don't need you anymore…" she says stubbornly, looking in his eyes. She knows what she's doing. She knows how she's being (completely headstrong and defiant).
"That's right…" he says. He can't help but agree because she really doesn't need him anymore.
She was doing fine. She was better off.
He can tell she's frustrated with his straightforwardness and the fact that he is agreeing with every word she says and every point she makes. It hurts him, it truly does. It hurts him that he hurt her and now she's hurting him (like that hasn't happened before). So now he has to be utterly passive just to get her right where he wants her.
"…I need you…" he adds, staring at her expressionless face. It twists, surprised at first then perplexed, and she shifts her gaze to the floor.
For a few moments, neither says anything else. He looks at her while she looks at the floor. He inches towards in somewhat halfhearted attempt to comfort her (or confront her) but she doesn't notice. He's getting more restless as the seconds tick by and she still doesn't speak. His heart shudders in anticipation.
She looks up and it takes all of his energy not to just stake a claim on her and ravish her right there. She tilts her head to the side and nibbles on her bottom lip.
"Would you please say something?" He asks; this whole silence is killing him.
"Something," she mumbles and they both smile.
In one swift movement, she is in his arms, finding solace and a release, and she holds on tight. Burying her head in the crook of his neck and her fingers digging into his shirt, bunching at his back, carving her own place there. He doesn't mind at all.
"Maybe I do still need you too," she whispers, catching his eye again as she pulls back a little. He smiles and the hole in his heart she created sealed itself back up.
