Kirk was once again trying to explain an Earth game to Spock, it was frustrating.
.
Spock: It is an established mathmatical principal that if A is greater than B, and B is greater than C, than A has to be greater than C.
Kirk: Let me explain, scissors can cut paper.
Spock: Agreed.
Kirk: But a rock can smash scissors.
Spock: Also true. So if scissors are superior to paper, but inferior to rock, than we can conclude that rock is superior to paper.
Kirk: But paper can cover a rock.
Spock: But that won't hurt the rock. If you wrap a piece of paper around a rock, and hit it agains a wall, the paper will be damaged long before the rock.
Kirk: Think of it this way. If rock beats everything else tha everyone would always choose rock and noone would ever win. Every single game would end in a draw.
Spock: Perhaps there is a certain logic to your illogical game.
