'God it hurts', that's the first thing Daniel thought when he woke up. He tried to remember what happened. Nothing came to mind, all he knew right now was pain, overwhelming pain. He had to find out where he was, and where his team was. Gathering the little strength he had left he called out to his team.
"Jack, Sam Teal'c?" he whispered.
Again he called to them, a little louder this time. "Jack… Sam… Teal'c…are… are you… there?" 'god where are they he thought'
"Anybody here" he rasped out.
Since he was alone it was up to him to find out where he was. He tried to open his eyes, but as soon as he did the light around him blinded him and the pain it caused brought tears to his eyes. Trying to stay calm he slowly cracked one open, fighting the desire to shut it right away. What little he saw made his blood run cold.
'oh my god, no… it can't be happening… please no' he pleaded in his head, trying to convince himself that he didn't see all those torture tools on the little piece of wall he had seen.
He had been on enough mission to recognise a torture chamber when he saw one and right now he was the sole occupant of this one. There was no sound beside his own breathing and the sound of his blood cursing through his veins. He tried to move his arms , they were tied down, his hands numbs, next he tried his legs and found that they could not move either. Not only could they not move but they felt strange, cold and clammy yet hot too. It was the strangest feeling he could remember.
Next he tried his head, 'yes!' he though when he realise he could move it. Once he got over the pain cause by the movement of his head, he started looking around him more carefully, maybe if he was lucky he could find a way out of this mess 'yeah right, like that's likely to happen' he thought to himself. On the left side there was nothing but the wall with the tools, so he decided to ignore that one for as long as possible. He looked to his right thinking 'it can't be worse' what he saw there changed his mind.
Sitting in the corner in a big chair was his very own worst nightmare! "Hathor"
