"Sammy!" Called Gabriel, shutting the door behind him. The honey-blonde kicked off his boots and hung up his coat, shivering a little as the last bit of cold air dissipated.
"Sammykins?" He called again, shifting his grip on the shopping bag he held as he made his way to the kitchen. Strong arms slid around Gabe's waist from behind, accompanied by a soft huff in his ear, announcing Sam's presence.
"Why do you make so much noise?" Sam mused with a soft chuckle. Gabriel pressed back against him enjoying the warmth he radiated.
"Cause I got something for you." He announced, slipping out of his grasp and holding the paper bag out to him. The brunette took it and peered inside.
"Gabriel I swear if it's another one of those-" Gabriel pouted and made an annoyed sort of grumble.
"No, no, I swear it's not. I really did put thought into this one." The sincere look on his lover's face was enough to make him pull an eyesore of a sweater out of the bag.
"You.. Shouldn't have." Sam raised an eyebrow at Gabriel as he set the bag down to get a better look at the item in question. The sweater had a moose tangled in several strands of Christmas lights emblazoned on it and bells jingled from around the collar. Gabriel's frown returned and he leaned back against the kitchen counter.
"It's just like-"
"Just like what happened last year." Sam nodded, a small smile appearing on his face.
"Yeah, I remember. Thank you Gabe, it's perfect." Gabriel grinned and pulled the other sweater out of the bag.
"I got one for me too!" Sam rolled his eyes and pulled his own sweater on.
"So we can both look like idiots?" He offered lightly, turning to help Gabe get his on. The archangel swatted Sam's hands away as he fixed the sweaters collar and straightened it.
"No, so we can be adorable. I mean, I was already, but now you are too." Sam scooped him up into his arms, earning a little squeal of surprise.
"Hey! Put me down sasquatch!" Sam shook his head with a chuckle and moved towards their living room. He settled Gabe onto the couch before joining him.
"Now we're going to do something I want in our ugly sweaters." Gabriel rolled his eyes and grabbed for a blanket, curling up close to Sam.
"Alright, we can watch some of your dumb Christmas movies.." The brunette grabbed the remote and found a movie on the Hallmark channel (it ended up being 'Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer').
"You like this movie don't you?" Sam confirmed, as Gabriel was immediately enraptured by the program.
"Sure do," He put his arms around Sam and laid his head on his shoulder. "Reminds me how special my moose is."
