The image comes unbidden to his predator's mind the moment he hears the word "feast". His ears twitch; his mouth salivates. He can see the long, banquet table now, spread out before him with all kinds of the best delicious delicacies created by the very best chefs, himself included, across the Nine Kingdoms. There are all his favorite foods there, from roast and raw lambs to the sweetest of cakes, but it is the very center of the table that holds Wolf's hunger captivated.

There, strussed up and naked, lays not a pig or a lamb or even a chicken but a human being, a human being whose lips he has tasted once when they'd both had too many mushrooms and wine. A whimper starts in the very back of Wolf's throat as he thinks of his dear friend being cooked and served to voracious guests. It may be normal for some wolves to eat humans, but not for him, and especially not his dear Tony.

He fights his way out of his unrequested daydream and scratches nervously at his forelock. "Huff Puff!" he murmurs, looking around for something, anything really, to make him forget that which he just saw. But again, the feast is rising in his mind, and he knows the full moon is coming near him. Certainly, that has to be what is so wrong with him to envision Tony so.

But this time, there's a difference in the banquet hall. This time, there's only the two of them, and this time, Wolf looks pass the apple in Tony's mouth. He sees his eyes, and they are open, twinkling with invitation, merrily laughing to himself, and waiting - waiting for him to take what already belongs to the wolf. Wolf scratches his forelock again, his big, bushy tail thrusting hard against the back of his trousers.

Perhaps his imagination is still wrong to show him his lover thrust up like a roasted pig, complete with a honey glaze adorning his bare flesh, but this is the kind of feast upon which Wolf could feast forever. He glances at Tony as he comes out of the forest and whines a different tale. Ah, yes, he could feast on this man forever, and perhaps some day, he will when he finally looks pass that damned dog and sees the wolf waiting for him to eat, dine, and love forever.

The End
