-Dreams of Troy-
CHANGE: I will not be writing any more of this story until next fall when we read the Iliad in class.that way I'll be thinking more about it. Thanks, and come back later! And some new news. the new movie coming out, "Troy" with Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt is also based on the Iliad and will be coming out in 2004.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters.merely borrowing! Warnings: Lemon in future chapters, same sex relationships, don't read if you're bothered by that.
This story is a product of too much reading about Ancient Greece.due to my homework which I spend too much time on.

~Enjoy~
-Chapter 1-
A boy with tousled dark brown hair and Prussian blue eyes browsed through the stacks of ancient volumes in his friend's gigantic library, looking for something good to read that would take his mind off of his present relationship, or lack of, with Duo.
he thought to himself.
Heero ran his fingers up and down over the frayed bindings of the books, marveling at how old these volumes were. None of the books in this section were anything less than a couple hundred years old, and some were much older than that.
One particular volume caught Heero's eye as he scanned the shelves. The fact that it was-to his taste-to thick and an undistinguished brown should have made the book disappear into the shelves rather than stand out, but something drew him in.
A cloud of dust fell onto his head as he pulled out the worn manuscript, and made Heero sneeze in surprise. He looked at the binding and in faded gold leaf it read "The Iliad".
The book fell open in his hands, and the boy searched for the publication date (1), having only briefly heard of this book before.
Heero gasped in surprise. This was originally from 8th century B.C.E.? He hadn't thought it was that old. He shrugged. Old stories could still make for interesting reads. (2)
And wasn't he right.

(1): Don't ask how the original date was in the book, I am very well aware of the fact that the Greeks didn't have publication dates written on all the epic poems.lets just pretend that they did *runs off* (2): I'll explain about the problem of the book being in Greek later.thanks to Kyra and Shadowfax for pointing this out!
Me: *grin* I actually think that that went well.taking into account that I'm sleep deprived and homework stuffed! Heero: You're going to make me read! Me: well it's my story so deal.
R&R!
