Chapter 1

My name is Jessie and I am an Elf. Yes you heard me Elf. My best friend is a Jinn or Genie as you probably know them and I go to school with goblins, vampires and the princess trio of hell or as you know them Snow White, Rapunzel and Cinderella. I live in Mythville which is a small village in England and our residents are well known for not being real or so you think. Every mythological creature you have ever heard of is real. Most fairy tales are based on some sort of fact. You can't find it unless you know it exists and the people outside that know about it are few and far between. You are not allowed to leave without permission from Master Jack or Mistress Serena and to make sure no one passes information everyone is subjected random psychic checks. So as you can imagine the day we go to school and realise there is a new pupil is a big deal.
The day I met Louis was an ordinary day as far as I knew but it was the start of so much. I met Simon on the way to school and as usual he was dressed in his usual uniform of bright silk trousers, todays were a deep blue, and blowy long sleeve top. Jinn don't always dress like that but Simon likes to embrace the cliché. "Have you heard?" he asked as he ran towards me "No I haven't heard anything" "There is a new pupil at school!" My mouth dropped open in surprise. We hadn't had a new pupil for as long as I could remember of course people did leave Mythville but it was rare enough to be a surprise. "Who is it? What is it?" I questioned my friend. "No idea. Apparently it is a he but that's all I know" "Well we shall just have to hurry to school to get a good look"
We got to school in record time purely so we could look around before classes started nothing out of the ordinary so far just the usual characters and creatures walking around. Which if you're not used to them are a sight to behold?
Then I saw him. "OH MY GOD!" I screamed at Simon and grabbed his arm. "Jessie! What is it are you ok?" "Over there do you see him? The new guy" Simon looked at him but he didn't see what I did. It was no surprise really not everyone spent as much time in the library as me. I saw it straight away though. The dark black almost blue hair paired with the most startling pair of blue eyes you have ever seen. Strong square shaped jaw and a small dimple on the left side of his mouth. "Prince Charming's son!"
