Disclaimer: No, I don't own Teen Titans, so stop asking!

This is a poem about Raven and Beast Boy's first kiss and what I think would happen from Raven's POV.

The Kiss

I've seen you watching me,

from the corner of my eye.

And I think to myself,

'Well, you're no spy.'

When I walk your way,

I've seen how you freeze.

And I think, 'Would you wake up

if I threw you into the warm seas?'

Then I start to realize,

you're not the only one watching.

I notice that I watch you

from the corner of my eye.

And you watch me

as you walk by.

And as I walk towards you

my body starts to shake

and I try to control my emotions

no matter what it takes.

Then came the day,

oh, that fateful day,

when I was walking down the hall

and our friends were away.

You weren't watching where you were going.

Nor was I.

We collided

You and I.

My hood fell.

As did I.

I regained my balance…

or at least I tried.

Down and down I went.

Then into your green arms was I caught.

I held your gaze

and it looked as though there was something we both sought.

It was then and there we realized,

our love should be forsaken no more.

The gaze we held grew ever stronger

like in one of those ancient lores.

We leaned in,

prepared for a kiss.

Eyes closed, our lips met.

It was pure bliss.

Around us…

A lamp broke

Glass shattered

Fabric tore

Food splattered

Metal twisted

Hinges busted

Plastic melted

Pipes rusted…

All because of a black aura.

Our kiss over,

we broke apart.

I stood upright.

You thought I was a work of art.

Then someone cried,

'What the flip did you do?'

Only then did we see

our tower in shambles and askew.

Our friends stood

at what was the front door.

Their mouths, agape,

almost fell to the floor.

You and I looked at each other,

our eyes shining.

And smiling we said,

'Nothing.'
