Snow gently fell to the ground. Clark's parents recounting old stories with the other members of the Kent family as Clark hung out with Lex in his room. He felt girly thinking about this, but it was his first holiday with Lex. Clark had always looked up to the other with admiration as though they really were brothers.
Having a brother was an odd feeling for Clark since he never had one before. 'I'm sure Lex will poke fun at me for thinking this way,' Clark thought to himself with a giggle. The two had been through a lot together, Clark knew they'd always be friends. After all, sometimes he asked himself; What would I do without Lex?
The two of them sat on the floor watching classic Christmas movies. 'A Christmas Carol' had just started as Clark snapped back to reality, "So Lex, wanna open your present?"
"Clark, I told you I didn't want anything. You didn't have to, really." Lex tried being bashful, but he really did like the idea that Clark thought so much of him that he went out and got him something. Clark jumped up and went to go fetch the adorably wrapped gift. It was located on the other side of his room in his closet. A ping from his computer interrupted his journey.
'hm?' Clark turned to his computer. Who or what could that be? Most people aren't online on Christmas, are they? He gives his computer a quick glance, an email. More so, a notification from a forum he visited during his free time. Clark decides to dismiss it for now and continues to the closet. He quickly opens the door, grabs the present and shuts the closet door, "Here, Lex!" He rushed back over to his spot next to his brother-figure.
"Thanks, Clark. I wonder what it is." He gave the gift a little shake. Lex unwrapped it cautiously, unsure of what it could be. He left the wrapping paper on the floor and opened the white box it was in. His eyes widened a bit as he looked down on the gift that was given to him. It was a pale blue sweater, hand knit by Clark's mother. Sewn onto the sweater were large white words that read: Big Bro. Lex turned to the other as lifted his own sweater up that read: Lil' Bro.
"I thought we could wear them next year. Mom said it was okay for you to join us in the Kent family Christmas photo." Clark spoke proudly, he was ecstatic of the idea of Lex being more involved with his family.
Lex was speechless, he couldn't think of the words to describe the joy he felt. He cracked a smile and forced a sentence out, "Clark, you're the dorkiest little brother ever." The two gave a quick laugh as a ping came from Clark's computer. He decided to see exactly what it was.
Clark quickly clicked on the thread link that was in the email, it brought him to the 'Secret Santa' thread. He scrolled down to see in big, bolded font 'MERRY XMAS, ENDLY. LOVE DORKY!'. Clark gave a quick smile and scrolled down further and saw the reply that read: I love my little dorks. Clark closed out of the window and turned to his older brother, "Merry Christmas, Lex."
"Merry Christmas, Kent."
