A/N: this story is a little one shot that i wrote when i was bored in Geometry. All characters are human. A/J R/Em

"Bella, I'm going now. See you later." Alice waved goodbye and went out the door. Her, Rose, and their boyfriends, Jasper and Emmet, were going out for the night.

"Bye, Alice"

Rosalie is Alice's friend that lives with us. She doesn't really like me, but we cope. We share an apartment here in New York City. Jasper lives on the floor below us. Emmett lives next door. So we see them a lot.

After 30 minutes of nothing, I was bored. Not just a little bored but boredout of my mind. I decided to go for a ride on the subway. You see some interesting people down there.

When iI got to the subway, I noticed this guy. He wasn't an ordinary guy either. He looked like a greek god. With his auburn hair, green eyes, pale skin, and muscular arms. I had to peel my eyes away from him.

I sat down and then he sat down in the only empty seat on the car, next to me. As he went to sit down, this other guy stepped on my feet.

"Ouch!"

"I'm sorry ma'am. I hope I didn't step on your feet."

His voice caught me off guard. I matched his looks. It was velvety. I mean if velvet had a sound.

"No, that other guy stepped on my feet, but it's okay.

"Oh, ok.'

He looked at my face for about another minute, then gifted me with his voice again.

"What's your name?"

I held my breath. I could hardly speak.

"You don't have to tell me. I understand. You just met me."

"My name's Bella."

"That's a beautiful name. Just like you." He said the last part under his breath but I still heard it.

We were quiet for a while. You could feel and hear the subway moving.

When the subway stopped at a certain point, he got up to leave. I took hold of his sleeve with my hand. he looked back at me and smiled. Then he sat back down.

"My name's Edward."

For the rest of the time, we held hands. I have never felt so good before.

When it was time for us to get off, he leaned in to give me a kiss. I wasn't about to oppose.

"Bella?!"

Alice always knows when to come in at the wrong time.
