Csilla: I was reading fanfictions on AO3 and stumbled on 'Orders' by kanacchi (its got some smut, fair warning); anyways, Mika repeatedly tells Yuu 'I'm going to kiss you' and I just found that idea really cute! w
So here's a oneshot about just that :D
Warning: MikaYuu is hitting me with more feels than I know what to do with :x
"I'm going to kiss you now, okay"
This statement, as of lately, wasn't anything new for the sixteen year-old raven to hear from his normally silent and brooding best friend. In the past month, Yuuichiro Hyakuya has counted a total of twenty-six times that Mikaela Hyakuya has made this remark. Not twenty-six days. No, some of those were boldly stated in the same days as previous ones. Today, Mika has made this remark three times. And it was only three in the afternoon.
"That makes twenty-seven..." Yuu grumbled as he leafed through a manga on the bookshelf in front of him, mentally glad this section was void of people aside from the two of them.
A tight grip on his wrist and before Yuu knew it, he was swung around and pushed back, his back smacking the bookcase before he offered up an annoyed remark: "You're not even going to wait, are you?"
"No..." was the last thing Mika said before he smashed his mouth against the raven, who immediately curled his fingers around any part of the blond that he could so he could pull the other closer. This was not the first time that the blond had given Yuu barely enough time to isolate them or check to make sure they were alone. At first, he had laughed it off but the look in his Mika's eyes, his best friend since childhood, crumbled away all of his thoughts that the blond was joking. At first, the kisses were hesitant and a little too awkward for either of them, but with Mika stating that he was going to kiss Yuu, it wasn't long before they found a pace that suited them both. A little nibbling mixed with heated kisses.
After the twelfth time they kissed, the blond finally asked -his face bright red with embarrassment: "Will you... I mean, do you want... uh, y-you kn-know... st-start da-dating...?"
Vibrant green eyes owlishly blinked as Yuu let the question sink in, he wasn't disgusted by the idea -he had just never thought about being something more than childhood friends. Mika had been by his side for so long, even when he was rude to the blond when they first met at the orphanage. The thought of dating his best friend didn't feel weird -everyone claimed to be dating/marrying their best friends so wouldn't this be the same thing? Their caretaker at the orphanage always told them that people love who they love regardless of things that are outside the other person's control.
"...okay," That day Mika had told him he was going to kiss him a total of five times (four of which happened after the raven gave the blond his answer). Two months had passed since then and there were still moments, Yuu forgot about their new relationship. Things Yuu brushed off as being close childhood friends now provided Mika perfect opportunities to kiss him. Checking for fevers. Sharing sodas. Sleeping over at each other's houses. All those moments now made Yuu blush madly at the reality he now faced. His boyfriend was a sly bastard.
