Dear Reader,
There are, as I am sure you realize, many types of fanfiction in this world, but for the most part they may be divided into two main categories: those that may be enjoyed by all, and those not fit for children's eyes. I am sorry to say that this fanfiction, which chronicles the Baudelaire children's brief stay at The Wammy's House orphanage, falls into the latter category.
I'm sure no sane person would subject a child to fan literature containing false names, two mysterious organizations, a man in a trench coat, faked injuries, secret conversations, and a very unorthodox detective. Unfortunately, this story contains all of those horrible things.
I have taken a solemn oath to record this portion of the Baudelaire orphans' travels and present it to the general public, but if you have small children in the house or would simply prefer to be spared untold weeping and probable mental scarring, please close this window and read another fanfiction.

(Ersatz Elevator and Vile Village.) One thing from book nine will be
briefly mentioned, but don't worry about that, you can't figure out
anything major from it.
