It felt like the palm of his hand on her back and the gentle gaze of green, capturing her breath, and making her heart beat slowly and calmly in time with the waves of sheer joy that his presence gave her.
She wasn't judgemental or at least had never desired to catch his eye for his looks or his fame or even his money; she'd only wanted to be his friend but had gotten more than she'd bargained for.
Alya smiled as he held her closer, and she relaxed in the gentle and steady way that he took the lead, "Did your father have you take dancing lessons as well?" He was such an easy and natural lead as if he was born for it.
"Actually, yeah." He smiled back at her, looking every bit a little nervous.
"You're a great dancer." She couldn't help muttering as he held her closer and even felt it upturn on her face when he leaned in and kissed her gingerly.
It didn't make her feel weak, not in an old timey movie way, just made her feel loved and perfectly at peace with the world and herself.
Alya pressed closer, treasuring what little contact they had.
