so.. I posted this story a few years ago.. decided to repost. Emily is an OC..

btw- I do NOT own anything related to the Matrix...

Reality. What a word. Reality? I'll never forget when my definition of reality changed forever. It was hot and sultry in my room. It was muggy. Sticky. The only sound was Emily screaming. I don't know about what. Probably dust in the air. My 'roommate' Aileena was starring out the window, humming. So quietly. A little buzz that'd annoy you until you were insane. (if you weren't already)My clothes were heavy cotton. They had been giving me a rash for weeks. Small red bumps. Details. Small Details always stick with you. Always. I was on my computer (which was contraband) "Matrix?" I typed in. For 10 years I had been searching. Who thought today would be the day. May 17. I'm not crazy, I know it. People have a hard time understanding…no, believing. I was sitting there, when out of the blue, Dr. Martha peeked in. My computer was under my quilt. "Phone call, Elixa." "Yeah, Okay." I slid my computer into the pillow case. In a moment I was at the phone. "Elixa speaking." "Do you know who I am, Elixa?" Fate.

Of Course I knew it. Just like I had imagined. Tall. He sounded tall. "Yes." Was all I said. The other voice seemed to smile. "12o'clock Wednesday night. Train Station on 43rd." The line went dead. I returned to my room. All was as I left it, an organized chaos. Yet everything was different. It was not completely real, only as real as I made it…

So what do you think? Should I keep going with it? PLEASE REVIEW!
