Dark Blue
WARNING: Takes place after the first season ended (I was watching them in the order they were released, not chronological order.) so it hints at what happened in the end.
The lights swirled around her in a harsh blue glow. His grip had tightened on her shoulders as he muttered final words. She was speechless. For the first time in her life- Haruhi Suzumiya couldn't talk.
…And it was me and you (this could last forever)
Energy was coming off in all directions as she wondered where she was and what was going on? Yet, at the same time she was finally glad to have some sort of excitement in her life. But, why wasn't Kyon worried? As Kyon leaned in closer, Haruhi's breath shortened until she was unable move- frozen solid in her position.
…And the whole town under water
The world she was in seemed faded away from everything- as if just the two of them weren't connected to life itself anymore. The noises around her faded into a slow soft hum as her lips were pressed tightly to those of Kyon's.
…There was nothing we could do
Her body surged into new life, though she felt helpless at the same time. Everything around her and Kyon had been absorbed into her body as a stretch of lightning hurtled through the sky. Why was this happening? Why her and Kyon? Was any of this her doing? And yet- even though all these thoughts came into her mind at once, Haruhi felt safe- felt like Kyon couldn't, and wouldn't let anything happen to her.
…It was dark blue
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was as though she was woken by a soft piano playing in the background. Was it possible to have your own theme song? But no- she'd never heard music playing like that before with no one to play it. She didn't even own a piano- though she had taken lessons when she was little.
…This flood (this flood) is slowly rising up swallowing the ground
Haruhi was tired- her eyes swollen and red as if she hadn't slept in days. She got up though it felt as if the world beneath her had collapsed, and soon realized that she couldn't keep stand up on her own two feet.
…Beneath my feet, Tell me how anybody thinks under this condition so
Her room looked fuzzy until her headache stopped and Haruhi could see clearly. Without even thinking about it, Haruhi rose her hands, and brought fingertips to her mouth- tracing her small lips delicately.
"The ponytail…" Haruhi glanced at her dresser, remembering what Kyon said. Would he really like it? All this time was she really trying to impress him? And if she wore her hair up… would that mean that she wanted him to notice her… and possibly like her?
"But, that was just a dream… or possibly a nightmare. Would the same rules apply in reality?" Haruhi wondered aloud to herself. "Would Kyon still like my hair up… even though I was only dreaming? But it seemed so real."
…Slow down, this night's a perfect shade of
Her world began spinning, just like it had when she realized that she wasn't an impact on earth, nor was she in the least bit important. Haruhi looked around her dark room- the morning light not yet reaching her room. Everything could only be described as…
… Dark Blue.
I hope you know what song this is, but if you don't know, please find out and listen to it. One of my favorites.
OH! And the italics (if you couldn't tell) were the lyrics to the song. Though they weren't all put in the same order, they're form different parts so that it could match the story better.
