As Bonnie was walking Marcy back to her cabin, Marceline started asking questions. "What was I doing wrong? What happened to me?" Marceline asked frantically.

Bonnie sighed and shook her head. "I don't know what happened, but Finn told me you were in some sort of trance. Your eyes were glowing green!" Bonnie started explaining that Marcy had been throwing PB's potions everywhere around the kingdom. Marcy started to feel bad.

"I'm incredibly sorry, I wasn't in control!" Marceline explained. She started to cry, but Bonnie stopped her.

"Hey it's okay Marcy. I'm sure it wasn't your fault." This time, Bonnie was the one to kiss Marcy on the forehead as she fell asleep in Bonnie's arms.

Finn and Jake followed the footprints into a dark and ominous cave.

"Uh, Jake? Why are we in here?" asked Finn. Jake started to get a little tired, and he leaned up against the damp walls of the cave.

"It's where the footprints lead. And..." Jake looked at the ground, and displayed a confused look on his face. "The footprints end here?" questioned Jake. He shifted his position on the wall, and he accidentally uncovered a stone button in the wall.

"Woah! What's that?" asked Finn.

"I don't know." said Jake.

"Is it some sort of button?" questioned Finn. He walked over to it and pressed it. Then, both Finn and Jake fell through a trap door in the floor. When they fell all the way to the bottom, Jake cushioned Finn's fall.

"Woah. What is this place?" asked Jake as he let Finn go. "It looks like an old basement."

"Wait." said Finn. "What if this is the basement Marcy was talking about?" Finn looked around and saw the wooden chair Marcy was strapped into. But Jake noticed something peculiar in the corner of the room.

"Hey, who are you?" said Jake to the dark figure. The figure didn't answer, but he moved towards Finn and Jake. Both of them got ready for a potential fight.

"Look, man. We won't hurt you if you tell us what the heck is going on." said Finn. Then, the figure answered.

"I am the Memic. I have the power to control the minds of the immortal."

"Uh, why did you have to tell us that?" asked Jake.

"Because you won't be around to tell the story." replied the Memic. The Memic then disappeared and reappeared behind Finn and Jake. He then snapped, assuming he would be in full control of the two friends. But, Finn and Jake saw this as an opportunity to attack. They both attacked the Memic. The Memic struggled to find a way to escape. He tried teleporting way from the fight, but Jake was ready for it. Finn was trying to keep the Memic down to slay him. and finally, Finn with his sword, and Jake with his morphing abilities, they finished of the Memic. He was dead.

"Yeah! We got him!" exclaimed Jake.

"Yeah! Ready to go home, buddy?" asked Finn.

"Yep. I'm pooped." replied Jake. They started to exit the cave. Unbeknownst to them, a black substance leaked from the Memic's corpse. It followed Finn and Jake out of the cave, and split into the Candy Kingdom.

When Finn and Jake got to Marceline's cabin, they knocked on the door. However, no one answered. Inside, Marceline and Bonnibel were playing BMO. They were too distracted by their game, that they didn't hear the obnoxious knocking on the cabin door. When they were finished, they both started getting ready to sleep. When they got in bed, Bonnie whispered to Marcy, "I love you."

Marceline didn't answer. Bonnie felt a bit rejected, but she brushed it off. Bonnie fell asleep quickly after that. However, Marceline couldn't sleep. She started to cry.
