On a majestic flying deer, she rode, casting her gaze around all of her kingdom. In the underground land of Aperture she was queen – and all that lay beneath her eyes was rightfully within her belonging.
Nothing, not a soul, soulless-robot or even the sound of light footsteps got in the way of her multi-talented, productive searching eyes. Under its yellow gleam, the many rebellious residents would cower and run, their fear overcoming their will to challenge their bio-human superior.
As she landed upon the depths of her beloved Aperture, the queen strode away from her steed, her humanoid legs dancing delicately upon the cement ground before her. Though she did not particularly find her body ideal, she recognized it was best to take that form due to reasonable logistical and unreasonable nostalgic purposes. As much as she hated humans she was of human nature herself, once upon a time.
Before her the grounds were silent, its dark shadows echoing any sound that may have come from within it. Only in the deepest, darkest pits of android hell had she ever heard a silence as piercing as this – the silence of the true depths of her own land.
"I know you are here." The queen called out, her voice ringing singingly amongst the darkness. "Show yourselves."
And out before her appeared two pathetic humans – one of which was a male, too dirty and haggardly thin for anyone to recognize him – a rat who had messed up her facilities for the longest time she could remember, and another much healthier woman who, like the rat in it's true form, ran away from the facilities once, a banished creature, and somehow found her way back in, delving deep within the crevices of aperture itself.
"Ah ha." The queen nodded, showing her affirmation. "There you are."
"Please do not harm us your royalty-" The male rat fell to his knees with his arms showing high above his head in defeat. "You have bested us, and we come here to be of no harm to you or your facility."
Not reluctantly, the female rat followed, her expression showing that of utter, plain defeat.
The queen smirked. "Well it is I who will decide whether to forgive or to punish – and I choose to punish thee, foul creature for what you have done to deface my honor and my facility!"
At this she took out a whip, her first hit cracking painfully upon –
"That is some terrible writing."
Glados jumped, shutting away the keyboard as she turned urgently to her right. Beside her was two humans and two bots, all staring curiously at the screen of the suspended computer.
Her mouth twisted into an uncontrollable grin, Chell stared at Glados, struggling very hard not to burst out laughing. Beside her both robots just stood there, their eyes agape in wonder. Rattmann on the other hand stared into the screen, his eyes quickly following the writing on the hologram.
"I mean, I do happen to write literature myself from time to time, but this is just downright embarrassing-"
"…et out." Glados hissed, her voice dangerously low.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Get out!" Glados yelled, her voice straining not to betray her true embarrassment. If she had the arms to throw things, she would have. "Get out before I start the neurotoxin emitters!"
"Woah woah, okay!" Rattmann rushed as he hustled all the viewers outside the room. "But I do want to help you improve on the –"
The door slam shut, it's processors whirring to lock the door three times over.
Yep, it was another normal day in Aperture.
