I wanted to write this story for some reason. It is going to be a long time before chapter two comes out, because I need to get info on the subject.
This story has Cyborg and StarFire friendship.
Ch1
Cyborg was going to the electronic repair shop with StarFire one-day. StarFire had wanted to see the place, so Cyborg invited her along, after all, it couldn't hurt. Could it?
Well, now they were in the shop waiting for a part that Cyborg had requested when another person, a white person, came in and called the storekeeper away from Cyborg's order.
Cyborg didn't notice, but StarFire did.
"Friend Cyborg," she said in slight confusion, "were you not here before that person?"
"What?" Cyborg asked looking up, jolted out of his thoughts, "What person?"
StarFire pointed to the woman talking to the storekeeper.
"Her."
Cyborg frowned in puzzlement.
"I'll ask," he said, "hang on a moment."
StarFire watched Cyborg walk up to the storekeeper and heard him say, "Excuse me, I was here first."
The storekeeper said, "Hang on. I'll get to you in a minute.
"But sir," Cyborg said in anger," I was here first!"
"He was," the woman said quietly, "I can wait."
"You can wait Niger," the storekeeper hissed, "You can wait or you can leave!"
Cyborg was dumbfounded, he had been here plenty of times before, but he had never been treated like this.
"I'll leave," Cyborg said turning around to leave, "Come on Star."
"Wait!" a voice called.
Cyborg turned around and saw the woman come up to the car with the part that Cyborg had ordered.
"What?" Cyborg asked.
"What happened back there," she said hurriedly, "I'm sorry. I didn't realize that you were in there. To make it up to you, I got your part."
Cyborg shook his head.
'You didn't have to do that," he said.
"Just take it," the woman said smiling.
Cyborg took the part, thanked her and then left.
"What did the lady want?" Star Fire asked Cyborg, "And what does Niger mean?"
Cyborg stopped driving the car and pulled over.
"Friend Cyborg," StarFire said not liking the silence, "Did I say the wrong something?"
Not wanting to offend the girl, Cyborg said, "It is a very rude word."
StarFire then spoke up, "Why?"
Why does she want to know? Cyborg wondered.
StarFire patiently waited for Cyborg's answer.
"I don't know really," he said, "It has been that way since there were slaves."
"What are slaves?"
This was getting hard. On one hand, Cyborg wanted to tell StarFire not to worry, and on the other, he wanted her to know.
But how was he going to explain this stuff to her?
How was he going to make her understand?
Would it even be possible? She was just an alien that had a hard time understanding things.
But he had to try.
So that is the end of chapter one. Any ideas on how cyborg is going to tell her? I am out of ideas.
