Fanfic: Sasuke, Naruto
Random event after a training session:
Race you back to the village!! Shouted Naruto as he disappeared into the trees. Sakura had left long ago, leaving the other two to fight and challenge each other as much as they wanted.
Stupid idiot, thought Sasuke, as he stood glaring into the spot where Naruto had disappeared.
Sasuke stood lost in his thoughts, his attractive features hardened and driven by a will to prove himself, he chased after Naruto.
You re weak Was the thought forcing its way thorough Sasuke s head.
Not enough hatred
Sasuke sprinted through the trees, after a minute or so he caught a flash of orange, anger accelerated him; the flashes became more frequent until he could see Naruto s blonde head jumping from tree to tree and hatred flared up inside him. He activated his Sharingan as he gained ground.
Naruto was happily bounding ahead not actually caring whether Sasuke did catch up, not that he would, fufufu...until he glanced back, and did a double-take, yes that was Sasuke using his Sharingan and charging some sort of electric type jutsu, more shocking was the scary look on his face! Does he wants to kill me, what the hell did I do?! Thought Naruto, panicked.
Stupid Naruto, not a fucking care in the world," Sasuke thought angrily. He charged his Lightning Edge. I m not weak.
Shit, shit, shit, what do I do? Panicked Naruto as he went even faster through the trees. He glanced back to see Sasuke getting more and more worked up while catching up, fast.
Wait," thought Naruto" why am I running? I must be able to face Sasuke if I am going to become Hokage one day!" With that the red chakra flared up and he turned round and stood with his arms tensed and his back arched facing his rival.
SASUKE!!!
Sasuke heard Naruto, saw his sheer determination, felt his terrifying chakra. And stopped dead.
Naruto saw everything go out of Sasuke who stood there five meters away shocked for a second, a look of resentment crossed his eyes, his Sharingan faded as he relaxed, then he composed himself, folded his arms and looked elsewhere as if the other boy was not important.
Naruto had faltered and felt the burning chakra slip away along with his determination.
Sasuke!?
Sasuke angrily stared into space, I let myself get so worked up about that idiot, he doesn t deserve a second glance," he thought angrily, "he is unimportant, and getting mad at him will not help me in any way. But what was that terrifying chakra, hadn t he felt if before?
Naruto watched in anger and frustration as Sasuke promptly ignored him while focusing on the branch he was standing on. Suddenly without a backward glance he took off back toward the village as if nothing had happened. Naruto glared after him and shouted in frustration. Grrr... Sasuke!! Why was he who was intent on killing him a moment ago, now ignoring him as if he wasn t there? It was all so insulting, yet strangely exciting as what would happen in the future? Maybe I ll ask Iruka to buy ramen for me tonight... The thought cheered him up immensely as he happily bounded back to the village the thought of ramen occupying his thinking space for the time being.
