Okay... it has been soooooooooo long since I've posted a fic. This is just a small silly snippet one shot that was suppose to be in an Aliens/Rebels crossover, where a chest buster kind of ruined the moment but, this one I thought was just to unserious to kill with that. though please let me know if you would like to read that kind of crossover. Any ideas are welcome. Enjoy!
Hera sat across the table from Ezra and Kanan, writing a report and taking peeks at the game of dejarik that the two Jedi were engaged in. It was an all out war, as usual, Kanan was winning, with some form of a flawless strategy. And Ezra was frowning profusely at his merger amount of options. None of the crew could really quite figure out how Kanan played like he did. Being unable to see the board. Only relying on whatever senses he had left.
Ezra made his move, "So Kanan, I'm thinking I'm going to turn the tides of this one." He talked over the sounds of the creatures, trying to distract Kanan from any of the creatures footsteps that would have given him any hint as to what he did. Hera shook her head. It never worked. Kanan always seemed to figure out what Ezra was up to, regardless of Ezra taking advantage of Kanan's biggest weakness.
"Hum…." Kanan leaned forward. His fingers on the controls Panel brows furrowed and blind eyes blinking, even if he couldn't actually see the board. There was barely a moment of thought as he hit in a sequence of commands and prompted his creatures…..
Right to Ezra utter Defeat. There was a moment of pause. "Well…" Kanan smiled. "How did I do?" Ezra sighed.
"You win. Again…" Kanan laughed. "How?" Ezra no matter how many times Kanan beat him he was still dumb founded. "How do you do that? Every time!" Kanan tapped his fingers on the bord, like he did every couple of seconds during a game. Hera just thought it was a tic but now she noticed the way he held his head. He was listening.
"The holograms react to vibrations. Each creature is a different size and shape. So it puts of a different pitch." Ezra's eyes widened.
"So you can literally hear the board?" He scratched his head as Kanan nodded. "But when someone talks over the sounds like I do. How can you hear that?" In response to Ezra's question Kanan put his hand flat on the table.
"I can feel it too." Ezra raised a brow.
"Wow…" Was all Ezra responded with. "So that means that everything else is down to memory then?" Kanan nodded.
"Exactly." Ezra huffed.
"So now no matter what I do. I'm always going to get my ass kicked." Kanan's face lit up in a Devious grin.
Like i said before. a bit too silly. May be I should do a Dejarik match that is blind Kanan vs Kallus. that might be fun. Any ways, Reviews, constructive criticism, even the hate comments are welcome. just because I'm whole heartedly interested on what people like and what you would like to change. You can also drop ideas for one shots in the comments and I'll see what I can do.
