As we stood there on the docks looking at each other, it was only the two of us. We weren't Captain Hook, the notorious pirate, and Emma Swan, the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. We were just Killian and Emma. We were two people who were quickly falling in love. As I looked into her deep eyes, my feelings were as clear as ever. I loved her with my entire heart and soul. Our lips met. We weren't a princess and a pirate. We were two broken people who had found someone to hold each other up. We weren't two broken hearted people recovering. We were two people finding love. Finding true love. We were the most unexpected couple. The notorious pirate, known for his ruthlessness, and the princess, the savior of Fairytale Land. Everything that we'd been through, all of the past lies, all of our past was gone in the moment that our lips met. This time it was not a kiss of simple attraction. It was a kiss of true love. Our love in that moment destroyed all doubt about us. Our love was stronger than anything. As our lips parted, Emma inhaled sharply.
"Killian, I love you," she whispered.
"Emma, you have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words from you. I love you too," I whispered back. Our lips met again.
True love's kiss may not have broken the curse of mistrust and betrayal through the rest of Storybrooke, but for the pirate and the princess, it showed them clearly that their love could overcome anything.
