Just a little story based on my thoughts of shego remembering some of the events of a sitch in time and trying to make sense of them.

Shego sat in her chair pretending to read her magazine, why she didn't know. Drakken had dismissed the henchman and retired himself hours ago. No, she had to admit to herself, she knew why she remained up despite the late hour. She was scared. Scared to sleep. Because if she slept she would dream, and if she dreamed she might have THAT dream.
She could still remember her shock the first time she awoke from it. Confusing and fragmented images swam behind her eyes and incomplete conversations danced in her ears. Sights, words, smells and emotions which flooded her mind, and did not fade. Unlike other dreams, these stayed with her upon waking. Full of blurred images and distorted sounds all tangled together and spinning unable to be fully grasped let alone understood.
Except for one.
She didn't know where, there was no wind and a dim light full of shadows, walls made of stone and dirt-covered floors. She wasn't on the floor, she was on top of him. He smells musky, animal-like. Somewhere between camel and elephant. He tilts his head, looks into her eyes, smiles, and speaks.
"You know, in this light, you're kinda cute".
But that's not what scares her.
What scares her is that she knows, knows with absolute conviction, that if she can reach this particular point in time and space, this exact moment, all her dreams are in reach. She can almost taste the satisfaction, the accomplishment and the joy of reaching her destiny that can only come after this moment has passed.
Her destiny.
And it scares her.
Because somehow he is essential in her achieving her destiny. She doesn't know why the buffoon is an important part of her destiny but she does know one thing. She can't call him the buffoon anymore. Because her dreams also bring her knowledge. His name is Ronald Dean Stoppable, a sophomore student with bad grades, few friends and for some reason, an intense
hatred towards meatcakes. She never knew that before but was able confirm it through more mundane means.
Maybe he is part of her destiny, why else would the dreams, an apparent fountain of knowledge, deem it necessary for her to know the trivial details of his life. Such as his parents names (Elliott and Andrea) and their occupations, where they lived, worked went to temple and hundreds of other small details of the Stoppable family. Somehow this information was supposed to help her in her goals, goals hinted at in the myriad pictures of her dreams where everyone wears green and black and she reigns supreme.
Is ron stoppable supposed to serve her plans. She knows what he is capable of in the dark reaches of his soul, she herself had seen it, the persona known as zorpox is certainly capable. But zorpox would never let himself be commanded and he would never share the top position. So it had to be ron, and she was hard pressed to think of a reason why he would help her.
"You know, in this light, you're kinda cute".
One small sentence and she has one grim idea as to why Ron would help her and why she knows so much about him. Destiny appears to enjoy a sense of irony. She shudders not liking where her train of thought has taken her, the same place it always takes her when she wakes in the middle of the night. It is the reason why she is unwilling to sleep and face the dream every night. Zorpox might not deign to stand at her side but it's possible ron might, not as a servant but as a partner. Or perhaps something more.
It's not the questions her dreams give her that scare shego.
It's the answers.
