E/O Drabble Challenge

Challenge: Use an animal in your drabble.

Word Count: 200 (Double drabble for me this week.)

Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There are lots of people playing in this Supernatural leaf pile. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.

Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.

MAYBE MUSOPHOBIA

By: Vanessa Sgroi

"Sam!" Dean flew from his bedroom in the bunker. "Sam!"

Hearing the dramatic yell, Sam ran from his room into the hall. "Dean, what? What is it?"

"There's a…there's a…rat…in my room! In my BED!"

"Really?"

"Yes, really, dammit."

Sam entered his brother's room quietly.

"Look!" Dean hissed. "It's right there! See it?!"

The mound Dean pointed to was far too small to be a right. Sam slowly lifted the blanket and discovered a little field mouse. "It's just a little mouse, Dean." He picked it up.

Sam frowned when he saw Dean's ashen complexion. "I'll just…just go put it outside."

"Yeah, yeah—do that."

When Sam returned minutes later, he found Dean pacing in his room. "Dean, you don't look so good. You okay?"

"Thought it was a rat." A blush crept over Dean's cheekbones. "Sorry."

"What is it with you and rats? It's damn near a phobia, man."

Dean shrugged. "Long story. Too long to share this minute."

"You know you can tell me, right?"

Dean cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable. "Uh huh. I…I know."

"Well?"

"I…uh…I was on this hunt…while you were at Stanford. And…ummm…I can't…never mind."

Dean hurriedly left the room leaving behind a bewildered brother.
