Chapter three: Secrets are upon us
Landon zoomed in his car in order to get to his father's house. Because the last time he came to see how Jamie was doing, her father told him that she was in the hospital. But before he left, her father asked him questions, like why do you like her, and what makes her different from all the other pranks you've done on all of the other students?
Landon answered them to the best of his abilities, by saying that he just can't explain why he is in love with, and what makes her different is because every time he is around her, he doesn't want to act stupid, and that was the last thing he said before leaving to his fathers.
When Landon's father opened the door, it was in the middle of the night; his father had his robe on and was wiping the crude out of his eyes.
When he actually saw Landon just standing there waiting he said, "Landon. What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
"Dad, my girlfriend is dying and I need your help."
"Landon, I need her records in order to know what to do."
"Urgh I knew you wouldn't have helped me, I don't even know why I'm here." Landon said now walking away from the porch, his father screaming after him.
Landon got back to town and just sat in the hospital with Jamie, God he loved her so much that he would have asked to trade places with her. Jamie's father came in and saw Landon asleep in the chair right next to her bed; he knew Landon wasn't kidding around with being in love with her. Walking in he put a hand on Landon's shoulder and when Landon saw him, Jamie's father said, "Boy, go home get some sleep, I will call you if anything has changed."
Landon nodded and went home, but he didn't go to sleep instead, he asked his mom how to waltz.
A week went by and Jamie was able to be at home, thanks to Landon's father. Landon knew he had to thank him, and he did. His father just said, "You don't need to thank me. I knew you were upset so I did everything I could for her."
Landon came to Jamie's house everyday to see how she was doing, and when she was able to stand he asked her to dance with him. Jamie smiled and said, "I don't think that would be a good idea."
"Don't worry, I will hold onto you. I won't let you fall."
Jamie nodded signifying that it was okay to dance. After a few minutes passed Landon said, "I think, I might kiss you."
That threw Jamie off guard, out of all of the times he has been with her, he hasn't kissed her and she wasn't really sure if she knew how to kiss back so she said, "I think I might be bad at it."
They stopped dancing, Landon looking into her eyes just said, "That can't be possible." kissing her. During a brief break in the kiss Landon whispered, "Jamie, I want to marry you."
