Koushiro nervously rang the doorbell of Mimi's house. 'This is it' he thought. 'This is the night I will tell Mimi how I feel about her.' He heard footsteps and the door opened.
"Koushiro! What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice like music to his ears.
"May I come in?" he asked. "I need to tell you something."
"Sure! Come on in!" Mimi sat on the couch, looking into his eyes, trying to figure out what it was that he was going to tell her.
"Mimi, I…I…I love you…" Koushiro quickly turned his head around so Mimi couldn't see the blush creeping up his cheeks.

"Koushiro…I…I'm sorry…I…I…just can't say that I feel the same way about you…" Mimi said, her voice trailing off. He felt the tears welling up in his eyes. He had expected this reaction, but it still hurt him. Koushiro slowly stood, holding back the tears, so not to make Mimi feel bad for saying what she really felt.
"I'm sorry for bothering you, Mimi," he said, keeping his head down.

'Can't you see I don't deserve you, Koushiro? I do love you, I wish you could see that! I just wish I were worthy of you! You don't need someone like me ruining your life. It's just not right.' Mimi thought to herself, as she watched him leave, tears of her own threatening to come out, showing how she really felt. 'If only you knew, you would help me get through this, but I can't bring myself to say it, Koushiro! I just can't! Turn around Koushiro! Find out for yourself. Look deep within my soul and heart and see the truth.' No matter how she begged, though, he never took a pause leaving.

Mimi just couldn't take it anymore. She rushed out the door and looked around at her surroundings looking for a certain guy. 'Where are you Koushiro Izumi?' she asked silently, expecting an answer. She found him sitting in a park bench with his knees pulled up, his chin resting on them. "Koushiro!" she shouted.
"Mimi?" Koushiro said looking up, then turning away.
"Koushiro! I'm so sorry! I can't believe how foolish I was! I can't believe I lied to you, Izzy!"
"L…lied?"
"Yes…I really am in love with you, Koushiro Izumi."

"I love you, Mimi" he told his newfound love.
"I love you too, Izzy" she said, her face going closer to his. Slowly they're faces got closer, and their lips touched, closing the gap between them, sharing their first kiss. They walked together to their new lives. Their new lives as soulmates.
